I have been reading different websites and I'm pretty sure it is called a milia, it normally around your eyes so it might not be this. And the thing I read said Milia can come at any age, and be almost anywhere. I have it in my thumb, it hurts when I touch it too much. I hope this was helpful!

The answer to the best of my ability on what it is and how to get rid of it. I've successfully gotten rid of it. What it appears to be is exactly how a lot of you are describing it. I am a guitarist and I see a lot of people have that in common. I didn't read a lot of the threads but some of them. I found that interesting because I had no idea what this thing was. I never knew what a wart was and I started to treat it as such after a number of months of it being on my finger randomly showing up out of nowhere. It did get bigger but not by much and only when I really messed with it. It seems to be like a blister over a ball. A hard white ball or something. Anyway I found out it was not a wart but what I did was use Clear away wart remover dr. Scholl's 17% salicyle acid. Now what you were supposed to do is apply this and leave it on for 12 weeks. Some people say to rub it with a pumice stone after using warm water for 5 or 10 minutes. What I did was use this application topical. I allowed it to dry and I did this twice for several days period every day in the shower I rubbed it vigorously with soap. Dial soap if you want to be exact. Now, I used more than what it said to use during each application period this thing never particularly hurt me except if I poked at it period after I started using this stuff and I was rubbing the soap into my hand I began to use a washcloth and the top of it started to go away. It took some picking but it did not hurt what so ever. However like I said my never really did hurt but I'm convinced it's the same thing some of you are saying does hurt because if I poked it I could tell it would hurt a little bit. I'll let it go for quite some time before I did all of this so maybe it was quite callousEd. So it came off. Only part of it like the top layer and part of my finger as well. I stopped using as much and my finger healed pretty quickly around it and the thing did start to shrink but not by much. I kept doing what I was doing with the soap but my fingers started to hurt because it was going Raw. I stopped for a few days and I noticed that it seemed to be open a little bit. Now I don't think this is important that it is open but I do believe that soften the skin. I picked at it for a while and I was able to get layers off and eventually a very thick very hard white ball was in the middle and just simply popped out into my hand. I have no idea what it was. It seem to have a little root possibly. It may have been some form of acne perhaps or some form of wart but I have no idea because it looked nothing like a wart. More like a callus over a white head but the ball was really strange. Anyway I'm currently still doing this and I have a hole in my finger LOL. I cleaned it out with rubbing alcohol and the swelling and everything has gone down. I added a little bit of that dr. Scholl's stuff again only into the hole and I covered it with a bandage by the way I did that all the time but I allowed for air holes. Dr. Scholl's come with nice ones. Anyway I believe it's all out and it looks extremely clean. I will come back on here and let you know but it looks like it's going to heal just fine. Seriously this worked and I let it go for quite some time and I tried different things like rubbing it with out using dr. Scholl's and I tried just soap and water and I tried picking at it. It seemed to me that the dr. Scholl's definitely helped because it calloused up the skin enough that I could pick at it. If it doesn't hurt you probably could just pick it off. It seems like you need to pick the top layers off so the ball comes out.
Yuck man.
peace.
Sorry for any typos I hope this all made sense I was using speech to text it was a lot to write out. If anybody has questions I'll check this occasionally.
