hello i was just wondering if someone could help me ive been to my doctor twice about 3 painless bumps in my mouth. they have been there for a bout 3 weeks i think, well atleast thats when i noticed it. he cultured it and im still waiting for results. i also made a dentist appointment because my doctor said i should have them look at it. im just kinda wondering what this is. im a smoker and i have had a relative pass away do to cancer in the mouth. my doctor said he thought it could be a canker sore but they are painless and they still have not gone away.just anxious to hear some input im really bothered by this.
Well,
I don’t agree with the doctor here and I think that you are having issues with mucous cyst. They are thin sacs that usually appear on the inner surface of the lip. They contain clear fluid and you have to understand that they are very common. They are painless such as the bumps that you have on your inner side of the lip. They are harmful but you have to treat them just to avoid further problems such as permanent bump on the lip. You will need a help of a doctor to open the bumps with sterile needle. This will help the bumps to go away but there is chance that they can reoccur.
Good luck,
Karel
