At 20 I had a 8" penis. Now at 21 I've lost size and hardness it seems I can't get that rock erection like i once had, I can get hard, though I can still bend the penis. While it used to be so strong I couldn't bend it without considerable force. The problem seemed to happen when I went away for basic training in the Army. Is it the type of underwear I wore for those four months? Switching from boxers to breifs? At this point I've been looking into testosterone and zinc. Though I dunno if these will help. I have to admit im pretty clueless here I'm not asking for adding inches, I'm just trying to get to where I once was and the strength I had. Any ideas?
Ehh I know im young and all, but I once heard that if you masturbate to much than that could be the cost to loss in hardness and shrinking problem. Once I heard that I barely even masturbate now and i'm 16....

First of all: Chase24 you are totally wrong! Masturbation will not cause a loss of hardness or size (nor will it improve either of these). So you can carry on masturbating if you like.

Back to the original problem: Size and hardness of an erect penis relate to the amount of blood that is held in the penis. When you get sexually excited the the veins that drain the penis are clamped shut, the blood stays in the penis and it becomes hard. If the veins are not fully clamped shut, then the penis will not be quaite as hard or long as it can be. Firstly, you must remember that sex is perfectly satisfactory without maximum hardness, so don't worry. What could be causing it:

1. Maybe you're just maturing and not as easily sexually excitable now. Teenage boys tend to get an erection with the least sexual thought and can maturbate several times a day with no problem. As you mature, things settle down a bit and you don't get an erection quite so easily (thankfully!), you don't come quite so quickly (also thankfully) and your erection may not achieve 100% length and hardness every time.

2. Maybe you need some different stimulation. You don't say if you're having sex - if you are, maybe you need to explore some more imaginative sex play with your partner - remember if you are going off the boil, so might she/he. If you are not having sex - just masturbating - well the attraction of this does war a little thin as you get older. Maybe you need to revisit your fantasies and see if you can become a little more adventurous

3. Distraction problems are possible. Anything from being tired, being stressed, being depressed or simply being busy can diminish your erectile performance

4. Health problems. Fairly unlikely at your age, but in older men issues like diabetes or heart disease can cause this problem

Mine too was once rock hard, I was doing 8-9 masturbations in a day but at 38 I hardly able to do 1 in a span of two days with lifeless penis. I am on the line of missing my manhood.
