I have been nursing for 6 months. Still no period, on mini pill and I started having lower cramps and lower back pain. It's driving me crazy. Can this be my body trying to adjust to hormones and for my period getting ready to come back?
I have been nursing for 6 months. Have had no period and on the mini pill. Just started last week with lower cramps and lower back pain. Is this normal for the return maybe of my period? Has anyone else experienced this?
Thought I would respond to you all as no one ever answers these questions...ive had it explained to me by doctors and nurses as something like gearing up. As in your body is going through the motions to ovulate which could go on for a couple of months before your first period. Chances of falling pregnant and catching the first egg are slight, especially when breastfeeding but it does happen. I have 3 under 3.5 conceived two while breastfeeding and the last bub was conceived at 8 months postpartum after only one period.... If you don't want another bub then use protection. As soon as bub starts solids your body will start this gearing up phase.
Doctors frequently prescribe the so-called "mini-pill" form of contraception. Unlike normal contraceptive pills that contain estrogen and progesterone, the mini-pill contains only progesterone. While this is an effective mode of contraception, the mini-pill can promote the formation of functional ovarian cysts. These cysts are usually asymptomatic and benign. They usually go away on their own. In some women, they might cause mild pain, nausea and fullness in the abdomen. Rarely, the cyst can twist on itself, causing a painful complication known as torsion.

Man I feel exactly the same way... My poor husband. 6 weeks of cramps
Did anyone get an answer to their question? I have a 3 month old and experiencing Onpain and lower back pain too. What could it be?
According to my doctor, these pains are normal. Your body is just letting you know that you would be having your cycle around that time, if it wasn't delayed (breastfeeding, birth control, etc). But to be sure, always check with YOUR doctor.

Did you ever start your period because I'm experiencing the same thing? It would be very helpful
Hi. Just wondering if you ended up being pregnant or if you got any word as to why you had cramps. I am going through something similar.
This exact thing is happening to me right now? What happened? Ever figured this out?
