I have the same tingling. I'm a welder and most of my day I am leaning back and forth for about 8 hours straight. It started once I got this new job. It won't let me sleep at night. It feels so weird, uncomfortable. Anyone have answers?

It is most likely a pinched nerve due to an injured muscle or tendon or a compressed spine. I've had this for 5 years. the cause was over use / repetitive use of a computer. My desk was to high and to compensate I would lift my shoulders up. A Few years of this caused a permanent injury. Evaluate your daily life regarding ergonomics and potential physical stress. Keep in mind routine repetitive tasks are just as bad as heavy lifting. Talk to a Physical Therapist, Chiropractor, and Physician. But just TALK. Don't do anything until you understand the root cause and are convinced that the treatment is logical.

the Notalgia Paresthetica description is vague but at least it gives a name to this annoying problem. I have had it for over a year below right blade beside spine, impossible to reach. Started with an itch but nothing there. Dermo said nothing there so did nothing. After 6 months itch became more like pressure and felt like a spreading hand on my back...hard to describe. Still no visible signs so primary ordered an MRI which brought out questionable places along spine so 2nd MRI with contrast showed small tumor or what looks like a tumor so I am off to the neuro guys to see what they say. Also problems with cervical and thoracic parts of spine but neuro will look at those as well. So the previous mentioned diagnosis does mention neck problems specifically so could make sense. I will let you know what I find out in case it helps someone else. Know that you're not crazy and we understand each other.

Hi Pink Angel. I know it's been some time since your comment on here, but I thought I'd pipe in. I think you have what's referred to as Notalgia Parasthetica. It's a skin neuropathy and over time, can create a skin "patch" or "bruised-like" appearance, that's caused from scratchingredients and/or constantly rubbing the effected area.

I have the same problem, tingling and pressure like feeling in the centre of my back but no pain, did anyone find out what the answer is? I have an MRI scheduled for the 2/01/2017 so hopefully I can find some answers then, at present I am suspecting a thoracic hernia or bulge pressing on a nerve. It would be great to speak to someone going through the same. Regards David

I have the same disturbing problem on my left shoulder, same-spot periodic tingling. I have taken medicines since June 2016 but it is still persisting....., x-ray, neck exercises, and physiotherapy were done but still no improvements. Do you think to visit a certain NEUROLOGIST can solve this problem?

My doctor said, X-RAY result: Early cervical degeneration changes

I've got the same thing going on, periodic tingling in the center of my back that starts right at the bottom of my shoulder blades on both sides. I kind of feels good to me. It started about 2 weeks ago. I kind of like it, feels like I have a heavenly hand on my back guiding me through life... ;)

It's a nerve being punched, probably from your neck. Get checked out
