Wow I have this as well. It comes when I'm slouching sitting or after I've been standing in one place awhile like washing dishes. I had a baby two months ago and had an epidural. Has anyone got a diagnosis on this yet or gotten helpful information from a doctor? I too suspect a herniated disk.

Yea, I can pretty much identify with all you persons with the tingling in the right back below the shoulder blade. I went to the dermatologist who said that he would remove the mole (as I had thought it was mole related). I'm sitting here with a freshly removed mole on my back and the tingling sensation is even more present. He seemed to think the mole was connected to the nerves and was causing tingling since it's raised and was being agitated by t-shirts and such. I'm 100% not convinced given that it tingles regardless of agitation and is slightly numb with a removed mole. I'll give it few months, but I identify with the person who said they wanted to take a knife and just cut out whatever tissue is in there. It's like a constant dripping.

I have the same symptoms. Numbish tingling about 6 inches under the right shoulder blade. So weird...

My whole upper back has felt like this on and off for the past year or so. Pretty annoying...I dont care unless its a symptom of something serious. yikes.

wow i'm glad i found this. I have had random tingling near my spine below the shoulder blade on the right side for a while but i really noticed it tonight i started to freak out. )I get really nervous when i notice anything wrong with me.) I mainly felt it when i was slouched over, so i would try to straighten up my back and for the most part it helped. i have always had pour posture and have rapidly gained weight the past 3 years. maybe this is something to do with that...? i'm only 22 so i'm kind of hoping that maybe all this fat has pinched a nerve or something and will gradually go away with the weight. i don't know...anybody else have a similar background as me with this problem?

In response to fjd I first started feeling my skin crawl as if there was a parade of ants inside me, ( my left shoulder blade) right after my Shaktipat initiation. Which is a sacred ceremony to awaken your kundalini to reach enlightenment. I took it to mean it was my kundalini working it's way up and out. That was about 7 months ago when I also started standing and taking photos several hours a day. i am left handed and it happens in my left shoulder. I have had many stressful events over the passed several months and have been lax in exersice and meditation. The other day I had pain, not tingling, deep in my chest through to my back with shooting pain up the back of my neck and down my left arm. I went to the emergency room and had all sorts of tests, x-ray. Heart was fine all blood, sugar whatever levels fine. Their diagonisis, maybe bronchial since I have asthma. Well, the tingle came back today along w/ the pain. I think stress is a factor, along w/ posture, mine is poor, the constant same position while working, and probably something spiritual even if it's just a wake up call to slow down & take care of yourself. Found this forum very helpful thanks,

I went through all 7 pages and almost none of it helped me.
I'm surprised no ones come up with a real answer yet.

I've recently got it, I've had it for about too months now. It's on my right side, just below my shoulder blade.
I've noticed it a lot more when I'm using my right hand; I already tested it out. I went a day with my right hand to my side and I only felt it about once. The next day I used my right hand regularly and it came up pretty often.

I work out pretty often, I do a lot of outside/construction work. I thought perhaps I may have hurt myself. Pinched a nerve or something.
There is no pain, It just tingles on and off for a few seconds. I don't think it's related to posture as I've always had very good posture. I've never had an injury, mole, or any such problem.

It's beginning to worry me, It takes away my concentration. I'll be making an appointment when I find time, perhaps go to a chiropractor and see if that'll help.

If anyone has come up with a solution please share it.

I have this EXACT thing (under left shoulder blade toward the spine.) It feels like micro organisms moving around. I AM SCARED AS HELL!!!! I read somewhere about some bacteria in bottled water. I have been drinking Ice Mountain bottled water for 6 years. WHAT KIND OF WATER IS EVERYBODY DRINKING?

I have been having a very similar issue, except mine is in the middle of my back on my spine. I'm gonna schedule an appointment here soon, one thing I'm deffinitley glad to hear is that other people have this and they have no super serious issues with it.

Hey all, I'm actually starting to feel a little better knowing that others are feeling the same thing and that I'm not going crazy haha. I starting having tingling under my left should blade about 2 months ago. But like the person who talked about working long hours in the Texas heat; thats how mine started (well not in texas). I am standing for 8 straight hours 6 days a week in a warm place. It also feels like icy/hot. The tingling lasts for at the most about 10 minutes and sometimes there is a flush of warmth but never any pain. I think/hope that it is just my body getting used to the new routine. My roommate said it might have to do with how I'm stand, so I've been making a concious effort to stand a little straighter. I doubt it is anything serious. Good luck to all!

To sum up... Same, same, same, same. Left lower shoulder blade, past 3 years, numb and ticklish like a kittens tail that curses at you. I'll probably ignore this another 3 years and keep calling it my cancer spot. If anyone finds out a real reason, please feel free to post it. I'll read it in 2.5 years. Until then...

I have had it off-on for a long time. It's worsens with bad posture. It's muscular tension that's affecting the nerves. Yoga, stretching, massage etc will fix it. Don't freak out.

Hi. I also have the same symptoms; tingling sensation just under my shoulder blade near the middle part of my back the right close to the spine. I don't have a discolored skin patch of skin and I don't see any weird moles.

Well I don't have any diagnosis yet, but like many of you, I started having this funny sensation at the back of my shoulder - perhaps 5-7 inches below the top of the shoulder probably closer to my spine than my right arm.

I firmly believe that posture and using a mouse at a computer for days on end triggered mine. I started a new job and think that I was slouching a bit at my desk, but also, was constantly doing work with the mouse. Somehow, I think I've aggrivated/irritated something back there and doesn't surprise me that some of you report this after heavy work period.

Going to doctor shortly.
