I suffer from acid reflux from time to time and while I know how that feels, this is something different, I think. I can't pinpoint exactly when it began, but for the past few days I've felt this weird sort of "blockage." It's like, right below where my throat ends and my collarbone begins. I have, at random, felt like I'm on the verge of throwing up a great deal of bile, but it never actually comes up. When I swallow, especially with a warm beverage, it feels like it's having some "difficulty getting down." I don't know how else to describe it, it feels like it's trying to get around something and there's a bit of a dull ache.

What can I do to relieve this feeling? It's awful.

Try checking your tonsils. Are they inflamed, does it look lile there are white spots on them? If they are inflamed, that could be the reason. Acid reflux burns on the way up. If they have white spots ok them though, thwn you got tonsil stones and that can cause a weird feeling as though youre swallowing but something is blocking feel.
If its neither of those things then i would just see a doc because it might be that your esphogous is inflammed from acid reflux(happens to be sometimes and i have really bad acid reflux)
