I am a 20 year old female, and I had my tonsillectomy just about 6 days ago. I was very nervous after reading all of the posts, but it ended up not being as bad as i thought!
I left the hospital with pain on a level 2 out of 10. The pain hasnt ever really gotten over a 5 out of 10, and i have been able to get by on extra strength tylenol since day 4. I vomited on day 4 from the percocet, and vomited again this morning from the antibiotic. When i looked in my throat this evening, there was a lot of pink! Im not in much pain, and havent taken meds since this morning. My worst pain was day 3-5, and getting less and less. There is a thick white "gunk" in the back of my throat right now, with a slight tint of yellow. There are some spots of pink, and I am wondering if my vomiting has disturbed the healing process, or what is going on. I couldnt really be healing already, right?
Any suggestions? Im a little worried that I will hit a brick wall sometime soon since the pain hasnt been bad. I dont think i could get off lucky enough for a super speedy recovery!

how are you doing? Did you recover quickly like you thought or did it get worse?
