i had unprotected sex three weeks ago and i was expecting my period around 5 days ago(15th). i took two pregnancy tests(9th and the 16th) both came back negative. my boobs are swollen, i have occasional cramps around the same time everyday, using the bathroom quite frequently. but i also just finished final exams... and apparently stress effects the timing on your period and i am also stressed because i have not had my period. so i'm not sure if i am pregnant, really late because i'm stressed out, or just missing this month completely.
I know how you all feel, I've been there quite a number of times. My bad. I usually have a sour taste on ma mouth that lingers no matter what i eat or lick, i sleep a lot, always weak, pant at every little trek or task, always hungry, heavy and itchy boobs, feela bit hard on the lower abdomen when i touch it and a sharp pain if i press further. A number of times, i really was pregnant. but at one time, i felt all these except the sleep and the panting, so i felt it was it again, didnt see ma period for about 12 days after my expected date, i was scared but i raised no alarm as i knew that i had no sexual contact that month, lo and behold, there was ma period. So just wait and be patient, or beta still go for a test. Take it easy, Its gonna be okay...
stumbled across this topic and i feel i might need some answers to questions that i have.
from what ive read i feel i am in the same boat so to speak..
i usually begin my menstral cycle between the 18-20 of every month and have been on track for the past six months now..me and my boyfriend have had unprotected sex several times last time i saw him (long distance relationship :-( ) which it was around the time i was ovulating.. the 20th came around and aunt FLOW didnt show up..i been having slight cramps, some white discharge, very moody, swollen breasts, darker nipples, quesiness, and when i feel hungry and start to eat i lose my appetite and get a nautious feeling.. i havent been stressed at all i have a good job and a good life so i dont know why i would be late other than to think that i might be pregnant...i took a pregnancy test (clearblue easy digital) and it came out negative. it is the 28th now and i took another one in the morning at first wee and still a negative..should i wait some more before i go get checked to see whats wrong??

hi there. you ovulate around day 14 or your cycle with the first day of your period being day one.
id says its unlikely you are pregnant.
i myself am due this week sunday, and hoping to be pregnant. im having no other symptoms than PMT, but did try to conceive a couple of days before day 14, as supposedly its better that the sperm is already inside

I am doing the same thing a lot of you posted about but i need to know who got there period and who didn't. I've been on the pill but had unprotected sex and was supposed to start yesterday. It has been a very stressful month and i just started getting PMS signs last weekend. I'm scared to take a test i want to try to wait it out. But I just need to know the difference between PMS signs and Pregnancy.
Some women actually experience pregnancy symptoms VERY quickly after conception. Usually fatigue, light period-like implantation cramps, frequent urination, a little bit of lower back pain, etc. Search engine 'Early Pregnancy Symptoms' It's also possible she had bleeding and actually conceived the PREVIOUS month. A test is really the best way to go. Hope everythings works out for the best. :)
I would also be be very grateful to know who's gotten their periods after their scares. I'm not on the pill but haven't had unprotected sex and was actually on hiatus until last week. Still, i'm worried as can be. I'm feeling gassy, bloated, and slightly queezy. I'm spotting just a bit too but aunt flow's not due for a week or so. I;d be so grateful to hear what everyone thinks.
I want to know if any of you has gotten pregnant yet! Caz I just had an unprotected sex with my boyfriend today - he has been inside me longer than we usually have unprotected sex. I am expecting my period tomorrow, or maybe this week. And we've decided that if I didn't get my period by the end of the month, we'd be using a HPT. I've been experiencing PMS lately but since menstruation and pregnancy symptoms are quite similar, it's really hard to tell.
Holler back please ppl!

For everyone who is worried about being pregnant because they are gassy:
Being gassy is a normal symptom of PMS for most women. Being overly gassy is just one of most of the symptoms shared between PMS and pregnancy. Also, it is not as simple to get pregnant as they lead you to believe in high school. During your ovulation period, there is only a 10% chance of the egg being fertilized, and only another 10% of it implanting. The truth is, alot of eggs that are fertilized do not implant. If you have a normal 28 day cycle, then you probably ovulate around the 14th day of that cycle. The best chance of getting pregnant is to have sex between the 7th and 15th day. The egg is only viable for 24 hours, and the best bet is to have sperm ready and waiting. Pre-ejaculation may have a low instance of sperm traveling through the falopian tubes, however, it can happen. After fertilization occurs, there is a 3-5 day journey to the uterus, and 3-5 days before the HcG effects ones system.
Home Pregnancy Tests were not designed to replace a visit to your OBGYN--if you're having sex, you should be getting a yearly PAP--
A negative result DOES NOT mean you're not pregnant, it means there is not enough HcG in your urine to determine a positive result. If you get a negative you still need to see your OBGYN if you're still experiencing these symtopms. If your test is positive, then you need to see your OBGYN also to confirm the pregnancy. Remember to read all of the instructions that come in the HPT box, no matter how repetive they may be, the information is important.
The more paranoid you get, the more you will "feel" like you're pregnant.
My guess is that some of you who are asking for answers because you're in a similar situation, are of high school age.
Go on birth control. If you're under the age of 20, most health clinics will give you birth control for free, and it's completely confidential.
Birth control isn't a sure-fire safe method either, back it up with condoms.

Depending on how much soda you used to consume, cutting it completely out may have messed with your blood sugar levels, which explains why you were nauseous until eating a meal. Consider replacing your soda with all natural fruit juices.
I also suggest that if you are under 18, and you need help, to talk to your parents, they may be upset when you first tell them your fears, but they will still love you and help you regardless.
The most important thing to remember is to not panic and get paranoid.

No it is not far too early to have some symptoms. I had symptoms a week before I would have got my period that were similar to PMS but I was pregnant.

It's in debatable territory. Although you CAN experience symptoms at that point, it is not very likely! However a pregnancy test would be a good idea. Let us know how you're doing, okay?

If your not ready for a child then you shouldn't be having unprotected sex!
I'm wondering how this turned out for everyone. I'm experiencing some similar symptoms and hoping I'm not pregnant until after the wedding. How did it turn out for all of you?
I am 32 years old, married and wanting to get pregnant but I am not sure if I am. I am having terrible lower back pains, almost like a kidney infections. I have been going potty a lot lately (both 1 and 2) and have been gassy too. I have had a lower than normal sex drive though. My stomach is aching, but differently than a period. I have been severely tired lately and very irritable. I have lost my appetite completely and I still have gained a couple pounds. I don't keep up with my period any more, I've been having them over 20 years now...lol. I guess I will have to wait and see if Aunt Flo comes to visit. Good luck girls!
