I mean, triage. An ingrown hair, however annoying it may be in the ED, will have a more substantial wait as opposed to an unstable individual. Just saying.

Ingrown hairs can absolutely lead to sepsis if they get infected. These can be very serious. Especially if the infection has staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) or MRSA bacteria. This would be an ER visit. I don't understand the comment saying this would be absurd (not obsurd). Any doctor would recommend an ER visit in this situation.

I understand your frustration. As you see way more tramatic injuries than ingriwn hairs. You have gone theough schooling to know what you know. With that siad here is my stand by esponse and why people use these sites. They only know what they know. An emergency room is a very high pressure profession. I have relatives that are nurses. Bones sticking out of legs, car accidents, fingers cut off you get whfere i am going everyone can push a button on sn ingriwn hair. So really think about it. Go to your family dictor. They can fix it. Do you really wanna pay 500.00 for that hair? I didn't think so. I am thinking of a lot of things i would rather do then sit in the ER and save some money. Hope you all get better. I have one i am using prep H and it is going great day 2 waiting to catch that hair.
