That’s exactly what happened to my husband the gas was so bad we Went to the ER at 2 AM after being released from the hospital at 4 PM the same day no one said anything about the gas being an issue but it was huge as well as excessive drainage from the incision site ER doc gave him Maalox plus that broke up the gas bubbles so that he could rest
I may be late in a reply but my current situation is similiar! I am also making a crazy amount of giant stones and have been to surgery four times, twice for stent placement for complete blockages and twice firestone removal. An other urologist tested for heightened calcuim levela as I was vitamin D and found a possible parathyroid issue. Turns out it's working overtime to cover the no longer existing deficiency and pulling calcium from my bones giving me pre -osteoporosis symptoms!! Hope your situation had improved!!
Got stone lasered out last week, was told I would be able to resume normal activities quickly.
The stent sucks, feels like I have to constantly poop / pee. Medicine prescribed to reduce bladder irritation not working. 10.5 stone.
Forcing myself to eat, not hungry.

Wow!! Reading your story was devastating to me. You are so brave and so strong. I feel extremely horrible for you as I am still here recovering from the lipotrispy I had today. I wasn't given any pain medication because I am 21 weeks pregnant and I have had a kidney Stone since way long before I was pregnant...but have had urinary tract infections over and over and been on over 15 antibiotic doses in a little over a year. I am going to start praying for everyone who has kidney stones in the world. Can you imagine living in Ethiopia and not even having the medical care for this?!?! I'm so grateful to live in the USA.
My pain is excruciating even with drugs
I will try that meds. I had my stones remove by a laser and there are still some residue left. my doctor wants me to have surgery again but I don't want to do it again. I will try Uroflow. hope it will work.
Thanks,
Donna

Not really killing pain as you are expecting, pain is tolerable, I would advice, your watcher should be around near you to assist you incase you suddenly get up unconsciously not knowing you underwent surgery (staghorn) kidney stone removal. otherwise your operation (small puncture wounds) will be opened and you might bleed. but this normal, so no worries. I am sharing this experience so as not to scare those candidates
That's not true. I was NEVER given any sort of pain medication after my kidney stone surgery & my post operative pain was absolutely excruciating. The pain from the insertion of a stent was so bad that it caused me to fall down which dislodged my stent (thank goodness!!!) but I have been in constant "daily pain" in my side ever since having my stones removed via laser. It's now been nearly two years & I am still in a great amount of non-stop pain... luckily I have some pain medication that I was prescribed by my primary care doctor for back pain due to degenerative disc disease however if it wasn't for that, my kidney surgeon could care less about how I feel. I would prefer to not need any medications but without the meds it looks like I'm stuck to live and die with this ridiculous pain. My life totally sucks now and I am beyond frustrated!!! Any followup exams have been repeatedly placed on the back burner and after close to two years of waiting, I am now scheduled for an appointment next week. My biggest fear is that my body scan will indicate a stone that was forgotten and not removed during my initial surgery... if I'm told that I need another stone removal I will probably walk in front of a speeding semi-truck to end things because I cannot endure that much pain again and at this point, I'd much rather be dead than to continue with a life of continuous pain.
Stone removal and stent on Monday. Stent out on Friday. Now, 24 hours later, still having pain just like the worst pain I had from the stone. Using Motrin and heating pad, drinking lots of water. Still having blood and blood clots. Hoping this will pass sooner than later.
I wish that were the case for me lucky you
I am speaking from experience you really don't know what you're talking about, because of spasms my pain is much severe after surgery than it was prior t o surgery, I'll put this pain up against any pregnancy, or giving birth
