I underwent endoscopy a week before . A stone was stuck in my uretera near to my bladder. With terrible pain. The procedure was first I was admitted then in the eve more than 5 to 6 injections they injected on me . I was on fast for 6hrs. Injections were antibiotic gastritis , pain killer. They did the procedure under spinal anesthesia . So they gave trial on my skin to check will spinal anesthesia cause me allergy . God terrible pain. Again they took me to OP, there an anesthesia surgeon pricked me to my back it was twice since he could not do it at first . Then my lower body within seconds was numb... I don't know wat was the rest procedure they did . I was in consious could see my stones getting breaked. And also other stones left in the kidney . Procedure was only for 15 minutes . The actual pain started after the procedure.. God it was too painful . First night after surgery I was not able to sleep. My urine was passing by itself into the urine bag which I was not aware. My legs were numb, but I was getting back the sensation after 2 to 3 hrs of surgery . I was not able to move . I was waiting for my body to gain sense and to eat food . The whole night drips were given. The next morning when I woke up the pain into back was terrible. I had urine urgency kind of pain near my uretera. Completely messed with pains. I requested them to remove my urinary bag but they dint. I was on tears . Later they removed just plucked it , it was damn painful . I screamed with pain. The next pain was awaiting .. The first urination by myself after surgery . God , don't know how to explain, something was pricking in my vaginal opening and cramps on my back , my back side of left kidney just killed me with pain when I empty my bladder. I was about to loose my consious with pain. It repeatedly happened thrice. I was in such a worry , wat might be next . Since doctor said it is a easy procedure u wil be alright after a day . But truth is procedure is simple but not the pain after the procedure. The stent kept in my uretera was killing me to get adjust to my body . Doctor asked me to take rest it wil be alright after 4 days. I was shocked hearing that , they said before surgery I wil be ok within a day now things are different. The next day I got discharged and back home. Pain was same . Blood in urine. 3rd day after my surgey in the noon I started feeling a slight head ace when I sit stand walk but not when I sleep. I was laying in bed for 2 more days ,pain did not come for control. I ringed my doctor to know wats happening , he said yes it is the dude effect of anesthesia , take rest drink fluid sleep without pillow raising ur leg . I did it for another 3 days . It was not in control. I searched in internet wat might be . Got to know because of fluid leakage in brain membrane , I drank strong black coffee high caffeine gods grace the pain never occurred later . 6th day after my surgery I started moving from bed my stent was settled urination was easier , head ace vanished . So thought wil do small small work . When I moved my stent started hurting me . My back pain got severe . Now too I m in bed with pain . Should see how long this back pain hurts.i wrote the whole procedure only to educate my friends about the process and to get ready for all the pain after the surgery . U need Atleast a week to recover. I did the procedure in India .

Can you tell us where you found the Uroflow? We have been looking for this. Many pharmacies overseas has it but not sure which one to use. My hubby has had the surgery twice and does not want to go through it again. It has been a little over a month since the surgery.
Thanks!! I know there are more natural ways like this than surgery.

OMG....feeling this way too....what is it...
Not our case. If you have a duplicating system it can complicate things.. After Removal, I was in the hospital for 5 days for extreme pain and infection
Yea I just had two stones removed the same way and it is very painful urinatng and my whole body is aching and sore.
I had this surgery yesterday and the pain I'm having especially when I urinate is unbearable. I hope it goes away soon. I am very afraid of what happens when I remove the stent.
Hi there, I realise this is a late reply, but for anyone else undergoing his procedure let me also say you should not worry. Make sure your urologist is experienced in this procedure, private hospitals beat the public system. I had a 13 mm stone removed from my right kidney on Wednesday, 5 days ago. The first 24 hrs were really hard, and the stent very painful. My bladder just kept cramping and I felt like I need to go to the toilet all the time. It didnt help that I kept throwing up because of my reaction the the anaesthesia. It also didn't help that some of the nurses kept giving me pain meds on an empty stomach. They kept me in over night because of the nausea and vomiting. However, I got home the next day with lots of pain meds. Yes, it's hard but rest lots and drink heaps of water. You can manage the pain with the meds. Though some do make you constipated and that also feels unbearable due to everything else your dealing with. The first urination is the hardest. It's now day five, all my pain has settled and I've not taken pain meds since 8pm last night. I made sure to stop the synthetic morphine as soon as I could because that constipated you and really knocks you out. For the first few days though I slept lots, and that's important for healing. The blood has also stopped. I'm definatly feeling better and I'm due to get this stent removed next Wednesday. I have some pain meds aside just I case there's an irritation, but that too should settle in a matter of a short time. The reason I'm writing this is because I was reading this thread before my procedure and it frightened me. I'm sorry to hear so many have had complications. But it's not always the case, and it really depends on the skill of your surgeon. Please do your home work. In this case, The private system (I'm in Australia) is far better than the public system, drink lots and lots of water to help flush the kidneys and dilute the urine making it easier to urinate. Rest, sleep, take it easy and give yourself at least a week of work, possibly more if the stent is irritating and you can't get due to your doctors appointment schedule. To anyone reading this and to those poor people suffering from complications, I wish you a swift recovery. But like someone previously said, this procedure and any discomfort it brings is preferable to loss of kidney function/failure or worse, septecaemia.
Just a quick update. I had the stent removed last wednesday, and that wasnt a problem. But an hour later, I had the excruciating pain everyone describes as residual stone fragment. It was so terrible I rung emergency but only stayed home because they said a two hour wait was expected before seeing a doctor. That they could only give me pain meds to manage the pain. Little did I know that was the apex of this ordeal. I endured it, because there wasnt much more I could do. Even two endone didnt manage it. However, the next day, nothing. Pain Free. And its been that way ever since. So bare in mind that passing those stones is incredibly painful, be prepared, have lots of pain killers available, and hold tight. It too will pass.
I had the same operation to remove a 3cm stone, it is now 7 months later and my backpain is worse than ever. it will still take some time to get back to normal
