hurts to pee and pulling out stent sucks ass if you have to pull it out like me do not look down I almost pucked and passed out I just grabbed it and pulled because it had to be almost out but ya if you have to pull it out yourself you are going to want something because it sucks it will feel like you have to pee all the time mine was in for 10 days and my water works nothing has worked right since not trying to scare you just a heads up I had 4 stones in me they stuck a tube in my back only reason I went that option so we did not have to go up pee hole that backfired I still have two stones in me today also. I hope your experience is better than mine man good luck.

Hi okiwgal, thanks for the information. I have also a kidney stone for which I just operated few days ago. Is it good to have this medicine on regular basis to get away from stones in future. And can you pls mail us the exact name of the medicine?
Waiting for ur reply

I agree with you that the postoperative pain does not compare to the stone pain. Have the stints inserted unless you want worse pain that the stones, drink lots of fluids and take the 7.5 level pain mess of hydro cordone and you will be fine. I am going through it now.

My husband had his removed today here in Louisville,KY about 7 hours ago . I wish I would of talked him into passing it, but after 2 attacks trip in an ambulance to the Er and surgery today, he feels just as bad again as he did with the attack. I guess everyone is different. DR. usually puts a stint in, but didn't and now may need one

I had 2 laser lithotripsy surgeries to break up a 2.5cm stone. My last surgery was 9 weeks ago and I am STILL passing fragments and have a lot of flank pain. I read that it can take 4-8 weeks to pass them, but I am beyond that point. Any suggestions?

So my bf had laser lithotripsy today, 8 hrs ago....he is pain free until urination. He is literally yelling in agony in the bathroom! It's each time he has to urinate and then last approx 15 min after until the pain STARTS to subside. He is saying that the kidney pain is worse than the burning with urination. He is taking 325 percocet and it takes the edge off in between. His Dr told him it would hurt the first few bathroom times.. It's about 6 times later. Is this pain to be expected like this? He's only had first round of meds). Is there anything to do or take for this pain? All information appreciated! Thanks!
