I have done PPH Surgery last thursday and waiting to be healed completely.
but thing is on my anus, there is a swelling as if it is a hems and it is not getting reduced.
So my question is, is that kind of swelling normal after the pph surgery?
I just had the pph surgery on Wednesday August 19th 2010, and also an additional surgery to take care of a fissure. It was not at all what I heard about from these sites. I did the outpatient surgery and after finally waking up, I went and urinated not realizing that I was completely number in that whole area. I went home and immediately starting on pain medications. I did not sleep the entire night. Every hour and a half I got up to pee. The entire night was horrible. I also had a reaction to the pain meds. vomiting and itching all over the entire night. When I called the doctor on call to change my pain meds he was so rude and must have thought I was selling my drugs. He only ask me this one question: So what do yo u want me to do?? I ask him to call in a different pain medication. I laid around for the next 6 days and thought that each time I went to the bathroom my insides were going to come through my rearend. It was horrible. I would take bath after bath after bath and yes, it does provide some comfort but not as much as you would hope. The first day when I went home I ended up going to the bathroom thinking I had to poo, but instead I passed all of these horrible blood clots. Guess what else I pushed through, a thrumbosis hemmoroid from the depths of HELL. When I called the doctors office on Monday, because I would not call back to the doctor on call, the nurse told me that there was nothing that could be done with the grape that was hangin out of my rear. This past Wednesday after thinking I was going to loose my mind from laying around, I went back to work. I can say that I am better than what I was. I would recommend to anyone to do your research and not believe these glorified posts about how wonderful these people made through their surgery. I am sure that some of these people did not have as much problems as I did, but really come on, we are talking about invasive surgery on your rectum. Do you really think that it is not going to hurt????
