I need to know what is the prognosis for people with Byssinosis? My father has been diagnosed with that condition and I am not certain what will happen now. It looks like he got that condition because of the 10 years he spent working in a cotton refining company. And not just him, there were some other people, his colleagues, that suffer from the same thing.
I suppose that the treatment will start immediately. Honestly, if nothing is done, it might end tragically for your father. The main symptom of this illness is so called brown lungs, which refers to a serious breathing obstruction. When he gets better, he should seriously think about changing the job occupation. Or make the company enhance safety measures and ventilation system...
