I have no insurance so i cant go to the doctors unless i have to.  for months now ive had what looks like pus pocket in the back of my throat onthe right side. my throat hasnt bothered me and i havent run a fever or been sick. do i need to leave it alone since it really isnt causing any problems or should i go to the doctors?
What you are seeing might be so called tonsil stones. They are not in fact stones as such, but if you had history of throat infections (but some people, even kids, have them without that history) it's possible that bacteria and maybe some remains of food, have formed these bumps. If it was strep infection - the other, more common reason for puss pockets that form in your throat, than you definitely would have fever, body and throat aches. As far as tonsil stones are concerned, usually family doctor just removes them easily during regular throat checkup (the say"aaaa") or sometimes they come out themselves. But, if the fever appears, than it's obvious what you will have to do - see a doctor. Hope you will get that chance soon!
