I have recently began pulling back m foreskin. For some reason there is a thin layer of white stuff on the foreskin and a little on the head. This has only showed up when I have begun to pull back my foreskin. Is this normal?
Yep, sure is. Called smegma. You can look it up on wikipedia.com if you like.

I know what smegma is but I was just wondering because it was like a film. I'm in the process of gently stretching the foreskin to reveal the entire glans. This film should go away when I fully reveal the head and wash away any smegma that's been trapped under there correct?

youll just have to keep it washed.

No I know what smegma is.. But all of a sudden after i began the process of retracting the foreskin for the first time, eery time I take a shower there is a thin layer of white stuff. Is this smegma? I thought smegma was just white specs not just a film

Newly produced smegma has a smooth, moist texture. Thats a quote from wikipedia.

What youve been seeing in the past is the old stuff thats worked its way out, now youre getting to the fresh stuff.

its often described as cheesy.

Ok so when fresh smegma is produced, is the foreskin sop posed to stick a little to the glans? And is it normal to have the thin white coating 6 hours later?

Actually it has been there for a while but you didn't see it if you never pulled back your foreskin. How old are you?
The doctor told my mother she had to pull back my foreskin to wash under it from when I was born so I have always seen what was there. I think I started producing smegma when I was about 12 or 13. It never stops, I still have it a 72. It does slow down a bit as you get older. It was probably heaviest from about 16 to 60. There was always a good coating every day.

I like to hold my foreskin back tight so I can dry rub the inner foreskin and bare glans when I masturbate. To do that I have to clean off the smegma. Even if I do it at night, there will be a good coating by morning. The glands that produce it are working 24/7.

When I was a teen and we used to do some group masturbaion, I noticed the guys who were circumcised never had any smegma. It may have just been constantly wiped away on their underwear. However I suspect the glands that produce it had been destroyed by the constant exposure just like the surface of their glans had been.

Njoynlife is about as expert as youre going to get on these matters. Youre discovering something that was already there but didnt know it. Its perfectly normal and doing fine.

Thank you for the help! So it's Doppler to cover the entire glans? I didn't know that. I'm 15 by the way. My parents told me to start pullin the foreskin back regularly when I was 9 but apparently I didn't do it enough. Again thanks!

Hey it's me again. Is there a way to see if my foreskin will get trapped when I fully retract it?
Also on the places where the foreskin is fully retracted, it looks like there are some small cuts. Is this normal?
