I am also 36 smoking since for over 10 years i recently stopped and have some trouble breathing at night. CBD oil helps a lil and i do yoga i don't have a desire to smoke anymore as i feel more focused without it and i have abused it for far too long. I hope maybe the CBD oil helps you.

Thanks for the info. very informative. Also, I wish I could apologize for the fools who confront you with racism. I wish my fellow Americans had less unsupported pride. As a Marine, who has been to the Middle East, and been shot at by actual extremists and a-holes, I still don't have a problem seeing people as Individuals. --To those Americans that have only ever seen the subject of their hate on TV and never experienced anything in person, and do nothing to broaden their world view... you need to be better. There is no excuse for you. The world is not perfect. Neither are you. Tell me, what did you do when terrorists ran airplanes into those towers and killed nearly 3000 innocent people? Anything?

I too was a daily heavy MJ smoker, for over 15 yrs. I quit back in March to get healthy because of Covid and had withdrawals similar to pneumonia symptoms. Sweats, fever, night terrors, heart palpitations, anxiety, shortness of breath. It was pretty awful and lasted about a month. I lost about 10-15 lbs from loss of appetite.
Excersize has helped a lot, the anxiety & night terrors have reduced a lot. But 2 months out I am still fatigued (despite generally getting 8 hours sleep) & struggle w cardio excersize, shortness of breath & feeling faint. Going to see a cardiologist & look into COPD. It's wise to see a Dr if you're still having heart/lung issues.
But overall I'm so grateful I was able to quit w God's help. I couldn't have done it alone. No matter what, thanks to the Lord I have nothing to fear. If you're struggling, please pray & turn to him, read the Bible. He loves you & wants to help you through this.

I just quit after a little over 3 years of constant , 2-6 times a day smoking and I am experiencing shortness of breath, heart palpitations at times, like when I wake up, anxiety because of the feeling of not getting full breaths. I thought I had sleep apnea because I feel fatigued in the day sometimes but I have been taking melatonin and sleeping good hours every night, and I still feel like this(and I have def been getting REM sleep). It has only been a week or 2 since I started quitting so I am really hoping this will go away. I also felt slight chest pain but that isn't so severe or constant. When I eat sometimes or drink certain things, I feel like I can breathe better and then eventually it comes back and I feel the "shortness" of breath. I really hope my lungs are just repairing themselves because I have never experienced this before. I relied on weed way too much for just relaxing and feeling good, I never thought it would do me harm, but I also know that I abused it way too much, when I really never needed to. It does make me feel better to know there are a lot more people out there that experience this also. I am hesitant to tell my doctor because I don't want anyone to think it's covid-it's definitely not. I don't even really cough, although I did a little the first few days after quitting but now not much at all. I am vegan, so I don't really have excess mucous or anything, however my nose does feel partially blocked at times, like waking up. Idk if this Is important, but I started smoking wax a couple months ago and I think that was way worse on my lungs, it's like after I quit that also that I started feeling this too. It felt like the wax would stick to my lungs more, and I had longer to clear my throat and lungs with that, so I'm glad I didn't do it for too long. Funny thing is, I am into astrology, and even multiple parts of my birth chart have told me and warned me to not smoke and just to take care of my lungs. Wish I had listened sooner but I am glad I finally stopped. Guess there is some truth to the name "Devil's lettuce" lmao

Hey man - I'm a 37 yo male who quit after 25 years of heavy use. The first 10 days sucked but now I am having trouble breathing. It's been going on for about a week now. What happened with your case? Are you OK now? Lemme know man, I'm tripping over here!

ur absolutely trippin. smoking anything hurts ur lungs. yeah cigarettes are worse, but that resin that builds up in ur bowl and bong dont stop there, it obviously goes into your lungs too. thc is a drug like any other, glorifying it is dangerous and cringe. It is definitely probably the "healthiest" drug you can do, but if you are having trouble breathing, no amount of breathing exercise will help if you continue smoking. stop smoking and eat edibles, as annoying as that advice is, it's the most logical and consistent.

I smoked weed straight for 6 months 4 times a day and then did a hard quit. The first 2 days I went jogging in the morning and it was fine and felt good. The second day I woke up feeling strange, couldnt take deep breaths and generally felt a lack of oxygen. I went walking soon after and oh boy halfway through i started sweating and felt super tired, lungs literally shouting for more. This kept on for about 3 days after that.Severe shortness of breath with elevated blood pressure at 170/90. I changed my diet to all vegetarian and started practicing QiGong, drinking lots of water. Deep diaphragmatic breathing while at rest. Now the symptoms are getting better but my lungs still feel knackered, especially on my back while im in bed. Do light excercises and breath deep whenever you can. Look up diaphragmatic breathing and '8 pieces of brocade'. These are two things that will strengthen your lungs tremendously.
