In the past year, i have had--on four occasions--swollen, sore tonsils. At first there are white spots, they disappear and the tonsils are red and enlarged. Each time, i test negative for strep meaning I have to just endure the pain for 10 days. And it's always 10 days. Does anyone else have this issue? What's the cause?
