After you removed saline from the penis into the resevior does the saline come back into resevior and feel vey rigid? I feel like the saline doesn't stay out and it gives me a semi hard on and makes the tip of my penis rub against my briefs and is very uncomfoftable.

Sorry to here about so many problems I had my implant at cleveland clinic it has be a god sent blessing. My wife and I have no complaints. I would have a revision in a heart beat with out a second thought. As far as some of the things i read in the above post there is a point that after all other means are exhuasted that you move into the implant mode. I did not loose more than a 1/8 inch and i gained in girth. The fact that I can enjoy sex today better longer and on demand is wonderful.

I had my original inflatable penile transplant in 1978. I have had 4 revisions and lost 4 inches. The last implant still works, but not much satisfaction. Unfortunately, when I had the first surgery, there weren't other alternatives for spinal cord injury patients. It hasn't all been bad, but it hasn't been good either. I wouldn't do it today.

I have only had my AMS Series implant for less than a month, and am ready to have it removed.  I never imagined how difficult life - in general - would be not being able to sit on a chair.  The bulb comes down and takes up most of the room in my scrotum and crushes my balls causing pain.  I can't get into a car without rubbing the pump on the seat causing pain.  I can't sit on anything flat without a doughnut.  I suspect this thing will greatly reduce my quality of life, and not improve it.  What I really don't understand is why no one else seems to complain about not being able to sit without hurting it.

Beware of another horror story! After never being able to have sex, and hiding it from everyone, and never dating until I was 32, I had an AMX 3-piece put in in 1992. It leaked, and had to be replaced in '97. A week later, it was eroding through my scrotum; resulted in a pump replacement. Leaked in 2002. Was put on ED drugs that had to have dosage increases until they no longer worked, but still gave all of the many side effects. In '10, had the leading urological surgeon in the country fly in to Indy VA to supervise two young surgeons with fewer than 30 under their belts. Only patients with re-ops were done that day, as part of a study. Now, it's '13, and I called the really nice patient liasion at AMS, who confirmed that my shrinkage from a little over 6" when Viagra worked to 4-4.5" while standing, and a little over 5" while on my back, is the best that I can hope for, and that it can be slightly less within a few years. The nurse who had examined my 2nd broken device warned me that I would be a lot shorter, but I figured maybe 1/2" was a lot to him. Have the 700 CX instead of the Ultrex because the surgeon told me that, while they were surprised by so little scarring from the first two implants, there was way too much for the Ultrex. They didn't tell me that only the Ultrex retains much of the original length, and that the difference between flaccid and erect with the CX is, at best, 1/2". The end result of this is that, as a guy at whom ladies smile and stroke their hair quite often, NONE of the women with whom I've had sex has enjoyed the penetrative effect, although they enjoyed the greatly increased (for some reason) girth. They've all become my friends, and I, their therapist, when they call about the men in their lives. All positions are impossible for me to reach except for me to be on my back and, if my partner is nimble enough to raise her legs far back, missionary. One lady told me that it was a shame- that I'm such a gorgeous guy and fine lover, otherwise. It pretty much restricts my dates to those who are wide, yet VERY shallow, vaginally, not a thing that you can actually ask a date. As for removing the implant if it breaks again, and not replacing it, the AMS lady said that, over time, it would resemble "a noodle", and that erosion could make the shaft pretty much nonexistent, and the glans, which might also shrink, pressed against my abdomen. She said that it would be highly likely that voiding could only be attempted by sitting down. She recommended the one-piece, instead, because she couldn't recall anyone having had four 3-piece implant surgeries- that the scarring would only make the one-piece possible, although that would be no guarantee, either.- Charles

If you will look at my web page, "pdselfcure.com" you will see that I post "19 Questions to ask your Doctor) which tells all the pitfalls of the prosthesis. The problem is, the medical forces are pushing this device with everything they''ve got, and they have plenty of stooges who go on video doing the same thing. It is an absolute crime perpetrated by the medical community. Sorry to hear your story.

Hey Gary! You may want to go the way I'm planning on going (LAWYER) as you can't get the doctor for the operation ,because it was so long ago. But investigate and write down everybody told you about what happen AFTER the operation . NOW you can go after PAIN & SUFFERING . My heart goes out to you for having to do without sexual intimate contact .These operations are no joke for us men to please our mates. My operation has nearly caused me and my wife a BIG time divorce after more then 39 years. There is a ONE year to sue for the doctor and now with all youi have gone through ,you deserve a lot more in life as you are really still a young man. Write me anyway and I'll tell you my horror story much like yours.

i would not recommend having the implant to anyone. it is a waste of time and money. the procedure is painful, you loose the width and length of your original size , and it is extremely painful in use and deflate. the doc never tells you the side effects. mine became infected after a few years, and after a raging infection, and over twenty one days in the hospital, it was removed. i almost died. this was the worst decision i ever made having this c**p put in my body, the doctiors are salemen, and will lie to you to sell this c**p. i would hope technology will improve in the future on this type of product.  virginia mason did my surgery in seattle.

I too have the AMS 700 MS pump and I am very discouraged.  I cannot compress the pump more than once.  The pump then becomes very hard and resistant to compression.  The patient liaison at AMS said this is probably caused by a "kink" in the tubing.  I looked at the literature that accompanies this system, and it showed that "kink proof" tubing was used.  BS.  Additionally, I can't get an erection so I have no idea how long or wide it is, but I bet I will be very disappointed.

I have had the AMS 700 about ten years and it has worked to perfection. It did shorten my penis about one inch, but it was already pretty long, so one inch was no problem. The girth has gotten bigger with time. I have normal feeling when having sex and have orgasms like I used to have when normal. I highly recommend the surgery if you still want to have sex. I have not had any pain as described by the previous poster. Before the implant I did try the Carverject and it was too painful for me. So I decided to go with the implant. Glad I made that move.

Rayman, I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed with this operation. Mine was done last month. I have tried to use the device for three times and it is VERY painful and I just can't have intercourse with my wife. Today, here I am, writing this note in a very depressed mood and I just don't feel like doing anything. I wish I could just go to sleep and never wake up. I wish someone who has had the surgery and same problems as mine, would write to my email so that we could get in touch.

i had breast implants no one could talk me out of it and there were no warnings at allthen.. they got hard and had to be removed..then i served for two years a free 1-800 hotline in usaand in other countrys too. I met 1,000 women in person. WE had huge law suit. I met the drs who were against themthe fda and ama and the chemical companies were all in bed. Dow lost billions and then spent millions to debunk the research.they are now put in but..they must be replaced. No kidding. I met the head dr in canada..who exposed them on news connie chung.  i met the dr that invented the saline one. Well..i am few alive that survived. What are these tubes made of. is it silicone.its mentioned that a membrane forms over the thing.,no kidding...that is the body trying to eat it and the body will win. YOu will be so tired as your macrophages work 24/7 you wont care if you have sex. YOu will be eaten inside out..down there...and that is main arteries to the body. Man had silicone injections in penis. the dr i met said that man fell apart piece by piece. We were told they would last after we dead..big titties sticking up..truth is...the body begins to eat those tubes immediately. The breast implants cause scar...but those so called scars had blood vessels and grew like a liver! is that your picture of a scar? This manipulate daily is what women were told massage them to keep scar tissue..omg..this is the same thing that they did to us..over 1 million before they were approved. woman had pain for 30 years..john hopkins opened her up with no gurantees THERE WAS NO BAG LEFT...GONE. Silicone only comes out WITH A KNIFE...IT CAN NOT BE METABOLIZED BY THE LIVER. the tubes are leaking the day they go in CAUSE THEY ARE POROUS.. put blueberries on your counter and see the blue stain. Your counter is porous. germs come in and love a nice warm wet dark place and no medicine can reach them..so maybe thats why they have continual antibiotics ant that will set you up for fungus, and antibodies to the antibiotics. YOU want to screw but YOU ARE SCREWED.
