I had the AMS 700 implanted in 2005. It still works great and does the job quite nicely. One thing I have learned is if you do not keep the device at least partially inflated you will see tissue shrinkage around the implant. I talked to my doctor and I take Cialis regularly to engorge the penis with blood and stretch that tissue.
I'm happy I got the implant and so is my wife.

Hello
Have I heard your experience sooner I would've cancelled my surgery. Have your erections after removal improved? You can regenerate your corpus cavernosa with stem-cells and supposedly get teenage erections.

Hello
I had mine in November and like you I fell depressed, scammed and very sad. I am looking to have it removed ASAP, I have a couple of appointments with other doctors to discuss removal and recovery . How are you progressing? Did you remove it? Any recommendations? This things should not exist!!
My doctor William Conners from Men's Health Boston is a crock and an unethical man, I didn't need this thing in the first place and I will do anything I can to restore my condition.
Thanks

Hello
I had mine two months ago and it was by far the worst decision of my life. I feel scammed and depressed and I can't take it anymore so I will have it removed ASAP. How long it took you to have erections on your own again? its good to hear it's possible!

i had a ams700lgx implanted 7 weeks ago and had to have it removed shortly after. my body rejected the implant,
the reservoir was placed a some type of tissue that was created by body, the pumping mechanism started to turn backward inside the scrotum that made it impossible to use.
i was taking pain meds like norco 10.0 5 times a day with no relief.
it took 45 mins to install the implant and 3hours to remove it,
my regret is i lost 63 days off work, thousands of dollars , lost 2 inch in length, and had to walk away with nothing.
dose anyone have any good advice.
ps; please do a lot checking before you have a implant.

Don't do it
It's the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I highly regret and wish I could take it back. It's been three months and I can't wait to have this invasive and destructive thing out of my body even knowing the terrible consequences that the doctor never mentioned.
Just think about it, ruin your body for what? 60 or 90 minutes a week, out of 10,080 minutes (less than 1%) it's not worth it. These things shouldn't exist.

I'm 71years old. I have had lymphoma for 10.5 years. When I was 60 I had the first of two penile implants for Peyronies disease. The first implant failed after 3 years due to reservoir leak. I had the second implant done by, literally, the guru of implant surgeons, Dr. Steven K Wilson in Indio, CA. Like almost everyone else, I lost length and girth with both surgeries, but overall the ability to perform pleasurably and on demand made the implant worthwhile for four or five years. But time takes it's toll on the implant. Over the past five years it has become progressively harder to fully inflate the implant due to scar tissue closing down and kinking the chambers. The chambers kinked because they could not fully extend into the head of the penis and there was pain every time I inflated the implant, accompanied by more loss of length and sensation. My body is now rejecting the implant and I am in the greatest pain I've experienced in my life. The implant is not infected, it is inflamed. My local doctors had no idea how to treat me so the urologist called it a prostate infection and treated me with antibiotics for a month without improvement. I became bedridden. I could not sit or stand because of the pain. Gravity was my enemy. Finally my GP tried prednisone, which has gotten me back on my feet and reduced the pain to a manageable level. That's within the last week. The pain has been going on for over two months. I am now faced with a life-or-death decision. Because of my lymphoma, my WBC is very low, 2.0 out of a normal range of 4.0 to 12.0, which means I am highly susceptible to infection. Based on the information I have gathered from the internet, it seems that explanting the prosthesis will be a highly invasive surgical procedure because of scar tissue and the encapsulation of all the implanted parts, and susceptible to infection for people with healthy immune systems. It is doubtful that my body could tolerate such a dramatic insult. My only solution appears to be to try to mediate the inflammation with steroids and manage the pain with drugs until there is a life-or-death decision. I do not regret the decision to have the implant, but it was far more serious than I could ever have imagined. Despite this situation, I have not abandoned giving my wife and I some sexual satisfaction through alternative means. Sex is not just the act itself, more importantly, it is the reaffirmation of the greatest physical and emotional intimacy possible between lovers.

Hello,
I'm glad you are able to have erections again. How did you restore/regenerate your erectile tissue (corpora cavernosa)? How long did it take you to have erections? Is your penis as long as before?
I'm planning on having mine removed, it's painful and horrendous. I didn't need it in the first place but the doctor manipulated me.

i had my doctors appointment on 1/24/2017 and what we found was a bad case of neuropathy and implant rejection that's what was causing all my pain from the start.
i have been a type 1 diabetic for over 40 plus years but my A1C was running 6.4, so my diabetes is under good control and that;s while we went ahead with the surgery, but when you have surgery with neuropathy it tends to aggravate the surgery area even more than normal with pain.
i still have some pain but it's getting better , i was concerned about losing 2 inches in overall length but my surgeon feels that i should regain some of my length in time, plus i still had some erectile tissue in the chamber of my penis, that may help me to still get some type of erection with penil injections,
and hopefully it would put me back to where i was before i started this mess.

Hello
It's good to hear you are doing well.
Is it true that once the implant is removed your penis looks like a flaccid sock, like a deflated balloon?
And did you lose significant length?
I am seeing several doctors to book my removal because I can't stand the pain. I don't know why did I agree to the surgery in the first place, I had unassisted erections sometimes with good arousement and with pills I had a 98% or plus success but the doctor in the Chestnut Hill Massachusetts clinic manipulated me and never mentioned the consequences. He and his nurse even lied when I asked critical questions that led me to make the wrong decision. I couldn't regret more that I had this invasive and horrendous surgery, it has been the worst decision of my life caused by a crooked monstrous doctor. I am only 37!!
