Hello steady health team,
My mother is in her late forties. She is experiencing problems like body aches, headaches prior to menses.
We have even consulted various doctors who concluded that it is a due to some minor tumorous growth in her uterus.
So most of them suggested to remove the uterus. She has not yet menopaused. So in such scenario could you please help me if
removal of uterus would lead to any bad consequences. Please reply as soon as possible.! !

Hi hney! What they are talking about is a hysterectomy - with leaving the ovaries in! I had this when I was 36 and no bad side effects due to the hormones still being there - from my ovaries. So it will probably be done through laproscopic surgery - 3 little holes and then a camer inserted and then the uterus is taken out through the vagina! She has to take it easy for a bout a month - not lifting etc. So she will feel SO much better. I hated the thought but I was SO relieved after! She will be fine honey! Good luck and health to both of you!
Hi bambi27,
Thanks for the reply.I really needed it.You mean we should go ahead with the surgery!!
Hey your message means ur uterus has been removed and now you are perfectly fine with it...with no side affects.Did you reach menopause wen it was removed?

Due to me being 36 they wanted to leave my ovaries in as if they took them I would have gone immediately into menopause! I am not a doctor honey so I CANT tell you to have the operation or not!I just know it was a GOOD decision for me and NOW I thank God I did it! It was ruining my life before = pain!!!!! The only time you have to have a few concerns is if they take her ovaries - then she will have to go on hormone therapy! Also find out if they want to take her cervix too! I had mine removed and am glad for it! As this negates any cervical cancer in the future and thus don't need any pap smears etc.
