For 6 months I have been having unexplained abdominal pain and nausea. In the past 3 months, the nausea and stabbing and crampy pain have become constant and progressively worse, my periods have become heavier, I am now have unreasonably heavy bleeding BETWEEN periods [I'll have a ridiculously heavy period, have a week and a half or two in between, then have heavy bleeding again], bleed after sex, I feel like I have a bladder infection, but don't, I need to urinate more often and have a bowel movement more often [I'm either constipated or have diahrrea], lower back pain, I feel sick after I eat.

I just got home from the ER [again] about half an hour ago, and they AGAIN couldn't tell me ANYTHING. Just that the bleeding is making my anemia worse and that my urine sample and ultrasound were normal.

I really need someone who knows SOMETHING...my symptoms are getting worse literally each and every day.

Any ideas I could ask my doctor about with my gyno follow up?
Did you ever get an answer? I'm having similar problem.

Did you ever find an answer? Because I'm going through the same thing and no doctor can tell me what's going on with me.

Hi my name is Dee I have a ? my sister over 5 years she has been bleeding real heavy and yet still Doctors dont seems to know why, some say fibroid yes she has fibroid but they dont know if its that. Last month I had to rush her to the EMR because in my 50 ods yrs I never seen heavy cloth blood like that, its like the afterbirth you have after when you have a baby. Some say take out the fibroid, some say no but yet still she continuing bleeding, they also gave her birthcontrol pills that help but after awhile full speed with the blood again. I am and so is my sister, and now we are finding out cancer runs in our family, now we has 3 family member that is dying with cancer. thank you for hearing and if you know anything else to do, a concern sister for sister.

I am also having these symptoms. Heavy bleeding, lower left abdominal pain, going to the ER and doctor with no results found. I am on birth control that cannot even control the bleeding. I really want to know what's going on. I had a panic attack the other day, where I felt like I was having a heart attack because they can't find out what's wrong. Talk about going from bad to worse.

Maybe there should be a comparison on medications everyone is on.You have to look at every possibility.I have someone special to me with unexplained bleeding and vomiting that lasted a day. Constantly nauseated. Abdominal and back pain that's been going on for months and seems to be getting worst. There is no urinary track infection or kidney stones. The emergency room Dr. says its possible to have a bladder infection without bacteria in urine but i don't believe that.Stay positive.

I hate hearing about this because it's very frustrating for you to go through these issues and then not receive help. I think it's important to realize though that the ER is not the best place to get diagnosed. Often, the doctors who work there have to do triage and find people who are in a worse situation and give them more care. And even then, doctors there are only trained for urgent care. Set up an appointment with a GP, a gastrointerologist, or a gynecologist, but don't rely on the ER's tests for a diagnosis. I hope this helps.

I am experiencing these same symptoms. I have been in the hospital and no one can tell me why this seems to be happening. I was on the birth control shot but only had it twice. Before I even got the first one, i was experiencing problems with bleeding. I bled after sex everytime or during. But once i got the shot it became worse and is causing me to become anemic. Now i feel nauseous all the time, have adominal pains and bad headaches. I can't find help any where. Can some one please help me?

Wow, when I first started my periods at age 12, the very first one and every one until about the age of 21 or so, after my first child, was similar to this. Then only happened occasoinally. Are any of you also experienceing high fevers with these symptoms? I later found that I had a recurring ovarian cyst, the growth of which was influenced by monthly fluctuating hormones, causing it to burst, and over several hours, be reabsorbed. This would explain nothing being found. I researched as best I could, and found that I was also lactose/casien intolerant. This resulted in my experimenting with not taking dairy products, (milk and anything made from it, not including eggs as a diary product), for periods of time and then trying them again. I discovered that when I stopped the dairy products, my periods were nearly pain free and the bleeding was not as heavy. I further found that milk products are naturally full of estrogen,(it comes from a female body), and that estrogen "overdose" causes fibroids and ovarian cysts. A good resource for more information on this subject is Dr. Christianne Northrup. Certain food additives have also caused this problem in me-caramel coloring, for example. Please research food additives as well.

Hi woodrose, can you tell me a little more about which food additives cause a problem for you? i'd like to know just because i think it would help others out to figure out what the issue is and maybe there's something that someone could help self diagnose on. Which other additives do you have a problem with?

Pretty much anything "chemical", and anything made from milk. It may vary from person to person. I've also found that milk products also give me cysts in my breasts that go away after discontinuing milk products. However, the milk and chemicals have to "detox" out of my body to get results, meaning I have to stop them for even a couple weeks. I'm one of those "sensitives", so if there's anything in the food/water/air, I usually feel a little "off" almost immediately. It somtimes seems unfair, but "canary's in coal mines" have their purpose. The best thing that I've done is to switch to an almost entirely chemical/dairy free diet.(I also cannot eat glutin, found in wheat, and some other grains, I understand that if one has problems with milk, then they also have problems with glutin, it's a body chemistry issue.) I do endulge in the bad stuff on occasion, but if too much, the problems are right back. Say if I eat a few slices of pizza with lots of cheese, within a few days to a week, I have symptoms. I definately would not consider myself hyper-allergenic, chemicals are bad for everyone, some people just take longer to become ill, that's why it's so hard to pin down.

That's very interesting because I know some people have breast cysts that they have issues with so it's helpful to know that. So tell me, even if you only have a slice of pizza, does that affect you, or do you have to really load up on it to notice a difference? Can you have an occasional treat?

An occasional treat is O.K.. If I go "overboard", symptoms appear, the severity depending on how much I've had. Then I basically have to detox from it to make it go away. When I first "discovered" the connection, it took at least a month to restore my inner chemistry balance. So it's important not to give up too soon, you don't get instant results when you follow your own body's innate "homeostasis". Say, if I have 2 or 3 slices of pizza, it can take 3 days or so to feel some breast pain, then about a week after that to be good and let my system restore. I know it's a long process, but I was bound and determined to find out what was causing these symptoms. I do not believe that illness just "happens". It takes nearly as long to fix a health issue as it takes to cause it.

I totally agree with you, especially after having posted on here for awhile because I hear a lot about how a woman's (or a man's for that matter) body chemistry can get thrown off and it can really affect someone. I think that it sounds like you came up with a pretty good test to figure it out. Thanks for telling me about everything and I hope you forgive my curiosity! :-)

It's nice to be able to pass on info. Sometimes you have to use yourself as a guinnea pig when all Doc's want to do is medicate or do surgery. Dr. Pavo Ariola has been a good influence on me. I also read Christianne Northrup. I'm happy to at least offer clues.
