Hello. I’m 34-year old healthy man.
One morning few days ago I woke up and all my face was covered with small red spots.
They are not spread diffuse but they follow big blood vessels on my face.
I was sure it was some kind of allergy so I went to the drugstore and bought some antihistaminic crème for allergies.
I used it for a few days but things only get worse.
I’m starting to believe that I have rosecia. What should I do?
Please help!
From what you’ve told me, I think you could be rosacea as a diagnosis in your case.
In most cases situation gets worse when you apply locally some antihistaminic. You shouldn’t do that! You must contact your doctor immediately before you get lifetime scars on your face.
Rosecia is a facial rash that looks just like you described it. It follows big blood vessels on your face and sometimes is very painful.
It is usually treated by long-term low-dose antibiotics taken by mouth. Antibiotics are in most cases Doxycycline and Dianette.
Alternatively, you could use a gel or cream containing Metronidazole which you will apply on your face on a daily basis.
Just follow instructions doctor gave you and you’ll get rid of them very soon.
I wish you luck!
