I Also had this problem. It lasted 7 or 8 days and my mouth was very sensitive. Our dentist said it's a virus.
Did you find out what it was because I have the same?
Redness of the little thing under tongue and rough gritty or sandy feeling in mouth . Slightly red and slight numbness
Did you ever figure this out? I have the exact same issue...
A year later did u find an answer just happened to me After a night of back to back to back cigarettes
Did you get any further with this? I have had similar symptoms for nearly 8 years now! It drives me crazy!!!
I had the same problem off and on for a few months. It coincided with yeast overgrowth, known as oral thrush, so I used probiotics to clear it all up. I used generic probiotics from Kroger and they worked like a charm! Rough patch and white tongue have both resolved.
Have you been tested for Sjogrens Disease?
Thats not at all the same thing. It's simply a grainy feeling on the skin under the tongue past the teeth in the soft areas. Brushing ones teeth doesn't affect it.
White spots indicates Thrush, a yeast infection... See your doctor.
I have had this for over a year. I have spent thousands of $$ trying to figure out what is causing the gritting feeling in my mouth. No reults as of yet. Very, very frustrating....
I have the same rough skin under my tongue. It started the day after I went to the dentist.
I’m currently having this exact problem! Can I ask if what you had resolved itself or whether you found out that it was something? Many thanks!
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one having this issue. I have three canker sores at the moment along with a slight roughness at the bottom of my mouth and in the front of my gums. My mouth feels almost swollen. I looked in the mirror with a flashlight and saw that it had many white spots. This has never happened before and I’m curious to see if it’s because of stress. If anyone has a cure to this solution please reply!
Hello. Did you have any results back?
