Hello,

I am 18 and I recent came upon a problem, I hope someone out there can help me.

Recently I noticed that my Left testicle is a little bit lower. It also sags much more, and is much "looser" while my right testicle is "tighter" and more in-place. I think it is because of a sparring incident because I train in martial arts, I was kicked in the groin on accident in a very weird manner but very hard, and the kick only hit my left testicle but I feel like it stretched it out further from my body than my right one is, hence the lower hang and the looser feel.

It really bothers me a lot, every few minutes I have to fix my "ball sack" if you will (always just adjusting the left one) because it is uncomfortable.

I know it is normal to have one testicle lower than the other, and for one to have more sagging, but it's been bothering me a lot. I am ALWAYS fixing my ball sack now, and I'm not really sure if it was like this way before. I did a little test and felt the tubes connected from testicle to my body and it still seems to be intact. It just bothers me sometimes because of the fact that it is looser and moves more and becomes uncomfortable.

Anyone, help, Please?!
I'm 51 yrs old and had this happen to me after Hernia surgery back in 94, it ain't no big deal.

The above two posters are correct.... it ain't no big thing....

Except that it is worrying you.

I would go get an examination by your family doctor and point out how much lower this left testicle is. If it is extremely exposed, he may suggest anything from a supporter as part of your regular dress, to surgery. How effective surgery is or how cost efficient, I am not fit to say.

But it starts with a complete physical exam.

You should also realize that age 16 you are not completely done growing in this area. And I expect your doctor will also make this point as well.

PS: Have you checked this topic out with your father and other males in your family? There could be a family history along these lines.

Good luck! 8-|

Wow. I had a similar injury to the left side of my scrotum, which also caused my left testicle to hang further down and a lot more loose. Doctors won't do anything for it, other than suggesting you wear scrotal support (e.g., jock straps, tighter underwear). I suppose in an extreme case, one might be able to convince a surgeon into doing an orchiopexy (stitching your testicle to the scrotum so that it stays in place), but that may not solve your problem and create more instead. Trust me, I KNOW how it is to constantly "adjust" and rearrange your testicles every 30 minutes because of this and I hope you're not in any great deal of pain.

It is normal, nothing wrong with it, so your worries are unfounded. You simply have a lowhanging scrotum, like many of us men do. It may be an inconvenience at times but that's just how it is. The best advice anyone could give you would be to wear a jockstrap or "tighty whities" to keep the testicles lifted up and supported so you're not always having to "shift" them around. Otherwise, it is what it is.

Btw... let me tell you a little trick so you can actually have fun with how low your balls hang! You can (or should be able to) twitch the muscles that surround them and make them rise upward. Tighten the same muscles you would if you were holding back having to take a piss, tightening them as much as you can (without straining), and then relax it. Your testicles should lift up, and then drop back down when you relax the muscles. :-D

I have the exact problem as you and I was freaking out about it. Im 19 and I run track and cross country collegiately so it is very uncomfortable for me. I usually wear compression shorts when I am running or doing any kind of excersise. Anyway I went to the doctors and actually got an ultra sound done and everything checked out ok. They told me that i was perfectly healthy and normal. It's just something you have to live with I guess. It's just very awful to deal with.

Yeah matter of fact I'm 14 and this happened to me, it's just that mine is slightly painful when it's lifted suddenly or anything of the sort. I don't know if that is gonna go away or not, but I sure hope it does :T.

I believe it's normal. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm 40 and my left but sometimes goes up into my body depending on how I'm sitting or what I'm doing. It doesn't hurt or bother me, it's just weird.

Hi,

I really feel you. I'm 19 and I have the same Problem. It doesn't hurt but it feels very unconfortable when my testicles aren't symmetrical. I often try to adjust it hoping noone watches me. I tried various underwear but none of them seem to be just right. Idk, maybe I just have to learn to live with it. Well, at least by reading this post i know that I'm not alone :)

Good luck
