Im 21 and the past 2 and a half months I have been having mild cramps then randomly severe cramps. My cycle has been normal and I'm not due to start for another 2 weeks. I went to my dr about it and he checked for infections and everything was clean. When he started checking to locate the actual location of the pain he hit a very sore spot on my stomach and he said it my uterus, so he put me on a different birth control to try and help with the pain. The women in my family have a history of cervical cancer and uterus cancer. What could be causing the cramps?? And any suggestions on a way to ease them?
I recommend asking yours doctor to investigate all possible causes. If you're worried about cervical cancer, you should get your pap smear done, especially if you haven't had it before, or its been over 2 years.

To help ease the pain, take a couple aspirin (pain killers) and invest in a hot water bottle.
Applying warmth onto the sore area can help soothe the pain.

Try putting yourself into different positions, some girls find it better to be laying completely flat on their backs, laying on their side with their knee's up so they are at a 90 degree angle, and others find it better to place a plump soft pillow under their stomach and have their bottoms raised upwards.

When the pain is mild, it is recommend to go for a walk, as exercise releases natural pain killers that can help ease any pain, and can stretch out stomach muscles at the same time.

Defiantly ask your doctor to investigate all possible causes as he hasn't found a good answer yet.
If he doesn't, then go see another doctor until someone will eventually help.

Generally, if he's gotten you to have a ultrasound, and even an internal (uncomfortable yes, but peace of mind in the end) ultrasound, and possibly even x-rays, then that's when you can be sure he's been thorough.

Unexplained pain isn't normal, so it's best to have it investigated.

Hope this helps.

I've tried laying in different positions and CANNOT lay on my stomach, it makes it feel like there is too much "pressure"(for lack if a better word)

Just an update: I went to the obgyn we did my pap and everything is good and clear. She said no cysts! :) however, I have been extremely nauseous for three weeks now and have vomited. I'm also a week late :/ when I got up for work today I noticed a light brown discharge but only when I wipe. No clue why this is happening! Any ideas???
