I am very concerned that I am having a great deal of pain in my lower back and abdomin i have also been spotting on and off for the last three days

my partner was 6/7 days late on her period then had some red-ish brown after going to the toilet. the started lightly bleeding the day after. we have been trying for a baby for two years and she has never been late only a day early sometimes. is there any way this could still be our first?
