I have a severe problem with my abdomen or stomach swelling terribly big after eating, even sometimes after a very small meal. I can drink water or juice and immediately my stomach swells and it hurts.

I eat breakfast and usually no problem, then I eat lunch and the belly grows, by the time I put dinner in I'm miserable.

In 2007 I ate a very small dinner and then later ate an orange, I awoke in the early morning sick as could be, I threw up after not being able to go to the bathroom, I fainted and broke my nose.

This same episode keeps happening, I have had all kinds of tests and nothing shows up, except I have found out I have diverticuli, and I do have IBS, I have gall-stones, and each time the last just days ago I did the same thing, throwing up, stomach swelling, pain the abdomen area, cold sweats, fainting, and this time it has lasted for four days, still in pain, can barely eat without swelling really bad.

Doctors only tell me after doing blood work that everything is normal except my white blood cell count is a little high. Nothing else shows up.

Please help, this has been going on for years now.

Thanks Wanda

Is there a Doctor here who can help me, too?

I have no food allergies, no condition that I know of - only the symptoms I experience are whenever I eat anything my stomach swells so severely within minutes that I look like I'm nine months pregnant and about to give birth.

I feel extreme discomfort from the very top of my stomach all around the sides and to the very bottom. I've had a severe constipation problem for many years, only making about two or three bowel movements each MONTH.

I started taking Dr. Shulze's Intestinal Formula maximum strength, and that DOES clean out my bowels within 24 hours. I started taking 1 enema each day for three days and that helped, too. My impacted stomach DID go down A LOT.

The only problem is that once my stomach swelling goes down no matter WHAT I eat, even an apple !- within minutes I look like I'm about to give birth. My stomach stays swollen for weeks at a time, and I feel pressure type of discomfort.

What is this?

I did go to the ER for this, and they ran all kinds of tests that all came back normal, then released me with a diagnosis of "constipation". (Gee, thanks.)

I desperately need to know what to do to fix this, get it under control, and look normal again instead of people asking me when I'm due to give birth.

Miralax, walking and a mix of both kinds of fiber if constipated. Trial of lactose/dairy free. No pop or carbonation. Lots of water and best gastroenterologist u can find.
