I am so glad I'm not the only one going through this, it's terrible & the pain takes all energy away.... I have been dealing with. This for almost 2 years, did all the doctoring, they removed gallbladder, & pain worsened .... I'm still searching for answers but I went to the Dr.s for some other issues & they put me on testosterone injections & I don't get pain at night anymore, told my Dr that & he said its was just a coincidence, so I tested my theory & every 6 weeks when my testosterone wears off I get the pains again.... I'm trying to find a Dr to believe me so we can figure out why but no luck yet.... I would like to get off testosterone ... hoping to find answers but maybe this could help u in the meantime... good luck
What did they do for your sphincter of oddi dysfunction? I saw a specialist about it but there was no clear cure.... & procedures was risky
Hello Sara,
My name is Rajeev and I am from India. I face a similar problem since last 6yrs with no solution in sight. I barely sleep for 3-4hrs and boom I start feeling excruciating pain which forces me to sit in bed. No matter which side I sleep the pain stays on. What surprises me is in less then 30mins after sitting the pain disappears completely. In fact during the entire day I don't feel any discomfort moving around or bending or running. My complete body test done last September turned out normal. Longing for a straight 7hour sleep

Did you ever get help for your stomach pain?
I just want to put this out there even though it may seem like a long shot. Parasites! My son has the same things going on with him and I am at my wits end as we have taken x-rays, had the urine and blood taken and tested, ultra sounds, dietary modifications, including the complete removal of any kinds of soda pop at any times. The symptoms are becoming more alarming now and they seem unrelated to the initial reason for seeking medical attention. They include dizziness, unclear thinking, grinding of teeth at night, anxiety, and explosive anger. He has done an excellent job of making note of things that pop up that are unusual to his feeling good. I forgot blurred vision. I have taken him to many very thorough doctors but none have connected all symptoms as being related. Doing my own exhausted research online and in medical books has either caused great distress at some of the possibilities or not finding more than one or two of the long lists of symptoms related to any one condition, or emergent condition. It is getting worse now and we are no closer to having an answer. His schooling and social life is affected along with the fact that he sounds hypochondriac or seeking attention and being dismissed altogether. We have pets. We swim, and water ski in lakes. We eat sushi, and he goes to a very racial diverse school that as a results in diverse habits of hygiene and medical attention for the children. All of the a fore mentioned facts have in common very apt, and common was to acquire a variety of human parasites I have learned. I plan to call his doctor in the morning with this new information, and feel I am on to something if for no other reason than the process of elimination of many other possibilities. Depending on the doctors reaction and willingness to pursue this line of thinking, I plan to research herbal, preferably, ways of eliminating said parasites. After ruling out the more serious possible afflictions I feel we have nothing to lose and I encourage others to research their symptoms. All of their symptoms seemingly related or not. This country does not adopt this line of thinking easily as we feel we are far removed from third world causes of illness. How can that be true when there are millions of third world natives here living right next door. The most alarming fact is that signs or symptoms and incubation for some parasites take years and only show up when there is an urgent need to get rid of them before major organs and immune start becoming affected. I plan to post more after more is known and look forward to any comments on this post, especially if seeking medical attention for parasites is sought and or has been implemented. Good luck.
Hi, I told you I would be back. I have news! I gave my son a very gentle enema yesterday and I was right. There are critters in his stool! We are following up with the Dr. in the morning, but in the meantime I have something else to share. I know a lady that is from Mexico where Giardia is rampant. It is also a parasite. She told me a long time ago that everyone there has a home remedy of balsamic vinegar, pearl onions and garlic cloves. After I gave the enema and after the onions soaked a while I gave him one. (Best to soak for 3 days first.) For the first time in many weeks he is not in pain. The home remedy will continues to clean out the intestines and needs to be taken two times a day. (Can do 3 onions but only two garlic cloves per day.) Make note that at first it will feel worse for a couple of hours before getting better as the parasites are pissed off at this point and are try to migrate or burrow deeper. Keep an eye out for rapid heart rate and higher blood pressure but it will pass. Also be aware that no matter where you live in the world everyone has certain amounts and certain kinds of parasites no matter what. There is little to no health risks involved. I mean none really more on the side of caution than anything so there is nothing to lose in trying this treatment. I will continue to post as the days go by to inform all of the results of this treatment. Merry Christmas and god bless
I sympathize with you on your pain and I too have had this pain. When the pain wakes me up at night. I have been drinking baking soda water and this dramatically reduces the pain in about 10 to 15 minutes. So about 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon og baking soda in a glass of water. Hope this helps.
About a month ago I woke up feeling like I was having a heart attack, etc. I even drove over to the hospital in a panic, but it calmed down, and I eventually went home. I have been diagnosed with GERD/Reflux many years ago. For about every night for a week it kept happening to the point I figured it must be the pills, that I needed a new prescription. I don't have insurance, so I've been looking for other ways to help it. The only thing I've found so far since are two things. 1. I only eat sandwiches that I make, which seem to relax my stomach. Nothing overly healthy about them, I got Boar's head ham, chicken, and Pastromi. 2. I eat lunch very early in the day (few pieces of homemade cinnamon toast (Cinnamon because I thought for a while it might be diabetes, and that's a natural cure), then 10-11am Sandwich, and Dinner at 4pm Sandwich. I did that for a week and it got better, I managed to go to bed around 12am wake up 6-7am and it was great getting more than 2-4hrs sleep. Then I made the mistake of trying other foods, the first night I woke up around 5am extra gassy, and having to poop right then. I tried to go back to sleep but I was up, 2nd night I tried some bland chicken tacos and that set it off. So I've gone back to just the normal routine, which is boring as hell, but to be honest sleep is so much more important. I wish I could live like a normal person again. I wonder if I have Irritatle Bowel Syndrom, gallstones, etc. Seems that everytime I try fried foods, or any kind of spice its goes crazy. I do sometimes wonder how long I can live on just sandwiches, i'm fixing to find out, because sleep is so good, even if its 6+ hrs.
You never actually said what the condition or Solution was
I just thought of something else, If you like me then it is always at its worst at your normal sleep time. Which seems to be normal for these types of problems from all the forums I've hit trying to find answers. I've started napping in the middle of the day for 30+ minutes, and this seems to help a lot, and my stomach isn't all crazy during the regular part of the day. So it might help to try taking a nap, and yes I feel like a old foggy doing this, but sleep feels so good.
