I know your reply is over a year old but.. please tell me you did 4th grade last year! I have the same problem and I know what you mean about feeling it beforehand..for me, it starts as a mild discomfort in my stomach area and most of the times only stops when I can't stand or sit with my back straight. Taking a bath/shower helps a bit. Painkillers do nothing. It has lasted as long as a whole day. Started almost a year ago and happened about once every week. Now it happens almost everynight. Right now I'm in pain and have been for 4 hours. I fear sleep and haven't done so properly since the 1st day PS: To anyone who reads this don't let the fear take over and get some sleep. some is better than none.

This is insane I have the same pain. Have to go to hospital for morphine when it happens. I could get it 3 times in a week and then not for 3 months. Most excruciating pain I have ever felt in my life - and I have had some pretty bad injuries. I am coeliac so completely gluten free and have tried dairy free and keeping food diary- no difference and no pattern. Have had clear CT, ultrasound, gadtroscopy, colonoscopy, pillcam and MRI. Elevated fecal cal protectin test (657) ref range

Hi everyone,
I also suffer this mysterious pain. This is what has helped me. STOP taking Tylenol in any form, simple Aspirin helps with most headaches, body aches and feveer. STOP taking multivitamins or any supplements. Do not drink alcohol.
I went from excruciating pain that no one could explain or help with to very minimal attacks. I truly hope this help. Best wishes.

Most of these posts seem older so my response may not be of much help but I've had similar experiences and felt hopeless unable to sleep with nausea and pain 1-5 times a week but the specialist I went to eventually diagnosed me with functional abdominal pain and prescribed nortriptilyne 10mg a night before bed and it's helped, I still get pain and nausea like before some times but only once or twice a month. If I miss taking the medicine for 2 days I get sick just like before but it's helped relieve my symptoms for the past 6 months. It's not a perfect fix but it's helped

The ONLY thing that has helped me thru these nightly ordeals is to make myself vomit EVERYTHING from my stomach. Once empty, the pain subsides almost immediately until the next episode a few weeks or month later. I quit looking for causes/solutions and just go thru the self-induced barfing to relieve the pain for the night.

hello all....gosh after reading everyone's comments you are talking my language. I have had nearly every test under the sun- upper/lower endo, us gallbladder-liver-pancreas, HIDA scan, CT abd, labs etc...it seems to have worsened in Jan 2017. I am currently on Protonix at night, Pepcid as needed in am, and take Tylenol ES x 2 tabs, along with a heating pad. All of these work at times, or at least reduce the discomfort. S/S include gnawing, burning sensation that increases at night, feel full, bloating, hiccups at times, nausea at times, interm constipation or the opposite, the pain is mainly epigastric to right upper quad, radiating to back or right breast area...I can literally go for weeks with no pain then wham...strikes in the middle of the night lasting for hours or days! Yet, weirdly so feels better in the day??? The worst part is being an ER nurse with way too much knowledge and scared to death of the unknown :( Glad to see so many of us have the same s/s; is it our lifestyle? stress? I know I am not crazy, or at least I think so, haha.
Has anyone come up with a diagnosis yet? HELP!
