You need to have sex to get her pregnant.  She will be at her highest fertility from about 11-16 days AFTER her period begins.  She is at her lowest just before and during her period.  The egg is viable for about 48 hours at max.

Your sperm can remain viable for about 5 days maximum.  You should therefore plan to have sex from 6-18 days after her period starts. 

Those will give you the best odds, about 1 chance in 5.  Pregnancy is not guaranteed but with regular intercourse she should be pregnant within the year.  Both your health and hers also play a role.  Lay off tobacco and other drugs.  Minimize alcohol use.  Get plenty of rest and exercise too.
