WARNING: Very looooong read. Sorry. Okaaay, so I should probably start off saying that I'm 18. Just turned 18 on the Dec. 30. I have been diagnosed PCOS and I also have a rare blood disorder called Hereditary Angioedema (HAE). With the HAE I can not take estrogen, so I can't take regular BC. My OB/GYN has put me on a progesterone pill instead, Camilla. My periods have never been regular even on the progesterone. All I know is they're most likely to come around the 15th through like the 3rd of the next month. I never really know. They've always been heavy with a duration of a 6-8 days. I've only had intercourse once before in 2009. My current boyfriend and I have been together for over year. He was virgin. On December 8th we had sexual intercourse for the first time. We didn't use protection, dumb I know. But he never ejaculated. On the morning of the 9th we had unprotected sex again. He ejaculated this time and the times following. We used the pull out method, we've never used protection. Then we did it again on the 17th and the morning of the 18th. About two hours after that I began spotting light pink. I thought I was having my period since I never know when they're going to come. I had never ever had a period start like that before though. It was a very light pink and wasn't heavy at all. I had mild cramps too. That went on the rest of day and stopped before I went to bed. Then the next morning it started again only it was brighter red and a little heavier and throughout the day it progressed into a darker red and got heavier but it never got quite as heavy as my normal period. That only lasted for about 5 days. On the 30th my boyfriend and I had sex again, same scenerio as in the past except he went 3 rounds. We had sex again the morning of the 31st and also that night. He's kind of gifted down there and he likes to go deep so it's always kind of rough sex. The last time we had sex was the 1st of January. On that night I started a normal period. Well, what's normal for me. But it's a lot heavier now. At first it was just brown and not heavy for one day and then got red and heavy and so on and so forth. But seriously? Another period 8 days after the last one ended?? On Jan. 2nd I began feeling really nauseaus. I've felt extremely nauseaus ever since. I haven't thrown up. I can't really eat anything because I gag while I'm trying to eat it and feel like I'm going to throw up. The nausea is worse in the mornings and evenings. I read sometnings online about implantation bleeding, could that be what I thought was the first period? And if it was then what's up with this second one? I got tired of reading and decided to ask myself since I could find nothing that sounded like what I'm going through. So, should I be worried or am I just having super irregular periods due to the PCOS?

EmmaH,

I'm afraid I am not a medical person, and so, I couldn't possibly diagnois what you are describing over the internet.  I don't know what PCOS is, and so I cannot comment.

However, if you are bleeding, and it is becoming heavier and you are concerned, I URGE you to seek out a doctor or a health care professional right now...to give you proper medical treatment.  I don't know what's going on, but an additional period 8 days after your last one just doesn't sound right under any circumstances.  Go get checked out.  And good luck. Please come back and tell us what you've learned and what you have chosen to do.
