It has been 6 months and I am desperate. I am a 24 year old female with no history of chronic illnesses except for the last year. In the beginning of January 2010, I flew down to Florida. On the plane my ears didn't pop and I got a severe sore throat. I saw a doctor there who gave me some antibiotics. Took them the whole time I was there. Once home I didn't get better. For the next 3 months (beginning of April) I was on 4 more rounds of antibiotics for what was diagnosed as a bad sinus infection. The last three weeks or so of this I was having at least one nose bleed a day, due to how raw my sinuses were at this point. I had never had a sinus infection before in my life. For about a month things returned to normal save for a few small bouts of upset stomach. End of April I got a bladder infection and experienced severe pain in my right mid back. I went to a Patient First who said it was a urinary tract infection and was given more antibiotics. This seemed to help for a week or so and then my world fell apart. On May 15th I started not feeling too good - something off, but didn't really put too much into it. The next day I was very nauseous but went to work thinking it would pass. The Monday morning of May17th, I threw up for the first time in 15 years and had horrible diarrhea. I thought it to be a stomach bug or something and it would pass but it didn't. That following Sunday I went to a Patient First and was told it was gastritis - it would go away on its own but to see my primary care doctor. The next day I saw my doctor who put me on Bactrim to see if this would clear it up. I felt so sick and weak I went to ER where they did a CT scan of my abdomen and nothing remarkable except my mesenteric lymph nodes were reactive so it was diagnosed as mesenteric lymphadenitis, but that it would go away in a few days. It didn't. Ever since then I have battling nausea, inconsistent bowel movements, and chills with NO fever that I can tell. My body temperature goes all over the place. It can go from 96 to 98.9 depending. 98.9 is high for me as I am normally around 97' ish. I have been to a gastroenterologist, my primary and a surgeon numerous times. I have been put on antacids with no change. More antibiotics. I have had a colonoscopy, endoscope, small bowel follow through, ultrasound, abdominal CT at ER, a stool sample to test for a few contributing parasites or bacteria, numerous blood tests ruling out chrones, celiac disease, Addison’s, colitis, H Pyl., Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter, Staphylococcus, Giardia, Cryptospor, C diff., Lupus, a stomach emptying test, no known allergies, and no previous health issues except for symptoms related to what we thought/think is hypoglycemia. My liver and kidney function tests have come back normal. My thyroid is fine. I even had the Mirana birth control IUD removed early on in hopes this was messing me up. Nope. The only things that have come back abnormal are as follows: I have unintentionally lost over 30 pounds, I was told I had chronic endometritis and took a small dose of vaginal cream for what I was told was a small overgrowth of bacteria (not yeast) My C-reactive protein was very high at 9.1 in a bracket of 0.08-3. I had a HYDA scan with CCK injection and my ejection fraction was right around 30%. The injection did not make me feel more nauseous or cause pain. I have had only minor discomfort in the gallbladder area. I had my gallbladder removed about a month ago after a lot of soul searching and research as I didn't want to rush into anything. The surgeon said the bile was sludgy and there were signs of inflammation so there is no question it needed to come out and I felt really well for a number of days and started trying to eat normally again (safely of course - no fried foods, no fattening things). The only thing that stayed was the bright orange tongue coating on the back of my tongue and a slight burning in my whole mouth and some mild nausea that I was told to expect for a little bit. I have never had indigestion let alone problems with acid reflux. I have been on prilosec with no change twice and I don't have the tell-tale chest discomfort of acid reflux (both rounds before the surgery). The symptoms have been very consistant in that I feel shaky weak, get the chills in different degrees from just chilly to shaking and goosbumps upon goosebumps and the orange tonue coating no matter what I eat or when. This morning I had the worst bout of nausea and symptoms since the surgery. I got the chills so bad my teeth were chattering but no fever, I felt extreme discomfort/pressure in my stomach/chest area like extreme gas and the nausea hit me like a ton of bricks. I spoke with my surgeon today who told me it doesn't sound like anything related to the gallbladder or the surgery. He was going to send a copy of our conversation to my Dr. and the gastro Dr. saying we needed to regroup to figure this out. I know I have had one heck of a work up and am blessed that my doctors are willing to stick with me but I am at the end of my rope here. I am only 24 years old... Please for the love of God, anyone, please help me.

This is so similar to my story! I am 31 and have been perfectly healthy my whole life! Two and a half years ago I started setting really sick. It has been a downward spiral ever since! Constant nausea accompanied by severe vomiting followed by constant sinus infections, migraines, gastro issues and now UTI's :( I am EXHAUSTED and cannot think clearly. I have talked to the Dr several times about mold exposure? Parasites? I mean COME ON?!! No problems for over 28 years and now I have IBS, Recurring sinus infections & UTI's, Neuro issues including carpal tunnel (I believe is due to inflammation), ongoing migraines... HORRIBLE ones, now dealing with skin cancer issues... this particular skin cancer is almost always seen in people that are 70+and have had horrible skin issues including constant itching. I have spent over $30,000 in the last 2 1/2 years trying to figure things out to no avail. Just all these small diagnosis's. Now on top of it over the last few months I feel like I can't breathe and my tongue has this disgusting orange coating. I am constantly cleaning it but it always comes back. I don't know what to do :( I have four kids and feel like I am failing them. Ive been to 3 Dr's (1 only once... been with the same one now for about 2 years) a Gastro specialist.. actually two - One for each procedure, 3 dermatologists, an obgyn and a urologist. I am so tired and broke that I don't have it in me to keep digging and making them continue to test. The Dr put me on anxiety meds becasue I think he thinks I'm crazy. Seriously?!! All of a sudden out of nowhere I am crazy? AND have all these medical issues that are diagnosed?!! If anybody has a suggestion I would appreciate it!!
