This sounds like the most logical approach, and I also think you are right about the yeast. I have these mites and have gone everywhere to get rid of them, most doctors don't even believe you! But, I have always had problems with yeast infections and yeast on my skin, so I bet your remedy works. I pray to God that it does! Thank you.

Not true...I just returned from the doctor with my college son. The doc did not say the mites were contagious or needed to wash all bedding etc. But I would recommend washing them after being treated. The doctor gave us a prescription for Permetherin with the instructions to apply at night before bed and shower in the morning. The doctor said one application should take care of them.

How did you apply the Hydrogen Peroxide and tea tree oil. Did you wipe down your entire body with HP and then wipe down with Tea tree oil? and then Baby powder. How long where you plagued with the mites and how long did it take to get rid of them with your treatment? Thanks so much.

How did you deal with the infestation in the home. There does appear to be yeast coming out of private parts and I see small black mites and sometimes white flakes in bra and panties - now eyes are irritated. I am waiting for results from skin doctor but initially they could not identify and I did have a few bites to show them so they know I am not "delusional" like "many on the internet"!

I have been adding borax to my laundy - I did use a lint roller in my white socks when my husband said doing it on outside is not going to work and I found all this white stuff inside the sock almost like yeast or if there is white mold maybe that - not really sure.

Should I wash all clothing or will steaming dryer do it?

THIS CURED ME I had mites on me for a couple weeks that I could not get rid of. I got rid of them from my hair and face by using white vinegar. However, they kept coming back. Especially to my vagina and anus area. And the vinegar gave me yeast on my skin (made it a bit red, itchy, irritated) so i don't recommend vinegar! It is a yeast fermented product and contains yeast. What finally worked for me to keep them from coming back, was I rubbed my skin with hydrogen peroxide (this got rid of the itchy redness from the vinegar), and then i dried off and applied baby powder whereever the mites were biting me, to keep my skin nice and dry. This kept the mites away. I used 15% water soluble tea tree oil on my vagina and anus, and hair. This also got rid of my dandruff on my head. It only took a couple days of this, and i have no more problems with mites! I really think that mites are attracted to people who have poor health/immune systems and yeast on their skin. That's why some people get mites and others go into the same rooms and dont get bit at all. I didnt have obvious yeast on my skin, my skin looks normal, but i dont think it's something we can see. I do know that after cleaning the yeast from my skin with hydrogen peroxide, baby powder (yeast like a moist environment, and baby powder keeps the skin dry), and tea tree oil, i have had no more problems from mites, even though i do not walk around with those products on me, i still do not have problems because i killed off the yeast on my skin. They are attracted to yeast! I know i have a poor immune system at the moment, so that's why i think i get yeast on my skin. I am improving my health though through healthy diet and exercise. In the meantime, i occasionally use hydrogen peroxide and tea tree oil to prevent yeast growing back on my skin, until my health is better and my immune system is back up. So that's my theory - people with poor health, poor immune function, get yeast on their skin, and this attracts mites. If you clean your skin of the yeast using hydrogen peroxide, baby powder, and tea tree oil, and improve your immune system with healthy diet and exercise, you can rid yourself of mites. Don't forget to vacuum, and clean your floors, and do your laundry to. I add borax powder to my laundry. Hope this helps

Dear Lindsay 9,

Can you advise from where I can purchase hydrogen peroxide and tea tree oil. I am from India and suffering very severly by human bites on my private parts.

The only cure is permethrin cream by prescription... the mites lay eggs that hatch 10 days later... so a second treatment with the cream is needed 2 weeks later. A thorough hot washing and drying of bedding and all clothing is needed, as well as covering seating areas with sheets that are promptly washed afterward.. they can't live 3 days without a host so they will die on bedding... secondary prevention includes lindane shampoo... there is also a pill called invermectin for severely infested persons that have collonies of the mite after having them so long. This was told to me by a doctor, so I am right. And the males hide on your hair after cream application... hence the shampoo... males can also 'act' as females without the presence of females.. (males do not burrow, only females) this mite is persistant, one of the greatest definitions of survival of the fittest... SEE A DOCTOR, or order meds through the mail, but it isn't cheap.. and cleaning is exhausting. Everyone should treat, and skin contact should be avoided, even hand shaking or holding hands.

I have been going crazy with this for four months now.  I have tried a product combination called Naturasil, which you can order via Amazon, costs about $60.    Feedback has been good for some people....for me so far it is not making the scabies go away.  It's homeopathic, with the main ingredient being Sulfur.

I am now looking at trying something called Scabies Killer, which is organic, with a variety of essential oils.
