I have had these awful mite bites for the past few weeks........I have been fighting a cold so I do think you're right about having a compromised immune system. I just started a new job and have not been able to go to the doctor to treat my cold symptoms. As for yeast on my skin???? I'm not sure but I'm going to assume I have it. This remedy is an affordable and at this point I am willing to try ANYTHING..... I am at my wits end. I work in the medical field and I am extremely self conscious about the bites which appear on my arm. I also plan to buy sme tea tree oil and will begin this treatment as well. Wish me luck and thank you for sharing.

Here's what has worked the best for me, after 6 months of trial and error, I'm 95% rid of these things!. Keep your place as cool, dry, and clean as possible. Get a dehumidifier and place it near the air vent uptake, since heat and humidity play a huge role in hatching new eggs. I spray my apartment and car down with a cedar oil spray at least every 3 days, because this hinders the reproduction process. A couple times a day I spray my apartment down with an enzyme based cleaner (which is cheaper) or an orange based cleaner (cheapest). Pay special attention to kitchen and bathrooms- they seem attracted to water and heat. Include light fixtures in items sprayed down, and wipe off electronics too. Showering twice a day is best; use a gentle soap with essential oil and exfoliate with a loofa glove. Shampoo hair, adding essential oils such as peppermint or clove to the shampoo. 5-10 drops should do the trick. Dry your hair immediately. Clothes have posed the biggest problem- I've thrown a lot of stuff out and replaced them with clearance items from stores ending in "Mart". Thin, synthetic materials are best to prevent the bugs from infesting the items. Launder with peppermint oil added to soap (kills larva), and boric acid, and dry thoroughly- very important! Keep clean clothes in bags and put cotton balls drenched with peppermint inside the bags. You can do this with dirty clothes, too. Replace sheets with polyester and wrap mattresses and pillows in water proof encasements. Never wear anything twice without washing. Consider getting a dry steamer for carpets or problem clothes. You can also microwave or iron problem clothes. For bad flare ups, I apply Kerosene directly to my skin for 30 mins before showering. This kills them when nothing else will. Baths never did anything for me, but tanning beds have helped- seems to kill anything under that top layer of skin. I also vacuumed and sprayed my car frequently. I applied fly traps to windows and the backs of computers. Finally, I also reduced dairy from my diet by about 80%, and take colloidal silver, omega-3, and digestive supplements daily.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I'm moving out of the house. I got mites from our cats. I bathe in Epsom salts and castor oil. If I leave the house right away they seem to go away. If I come back, they come back

Lindsay9, Thank you so much. I've been suffering from suspected bird mites infestation for about two months. I only tried applying hydrogen peroxide yesterday and already experienced great relief from itching. Now i'm starting to get my life back to normal again. Like others, i also tried numerous concoctions, commercial and home based remedies. They cost so much. If not for your post, i'm pretty sure i would have continued to suffer to the point of losing my sanity, so to speak. God bless you...

I Have been getting these pin prick mite bites for months now. every time i thought i was cured, i sat down on the couch, or went into the garden, or petted the cat, and they came back.
i have just been referred to a neurologist for something called formication. its a nerve condition. they are also testing me for lupus and MS.
i am also getting what looks to be spider bites.
this may be a delayed reaction to the ivermectin and the bug bombs ive been exposed to.
i was bathing in epsom salts twice a day with castor oil. at some point it gave me total releif and then not so much.
Now im bathing in apple cider vinegar and it seems to do the trick. this is the worst thing thats ever happened to me.
sorry for both of us. but what an education.

heres a combo of herbs that will kill mites (I used the for scabies several times). Yarrow, burdock root and yellow dock root. You can buy them online. boil 2 cups of water, turn off heat, put a teaspoon of each herb , allow to steep. apply to areas with mites. (i used a wash cloth but cotton balls will work too) repeat 24 hrs later .

Please try anti fungal meds for like yeast infections, its what saved my moms life! That along with steroids to up her immune system as well, & tea tree oil once they are gone to keep em from returning to your body! Clean your laundry like normal but add a small cap full of olive oil near end of wash to get the mites out of clothes, clean Furniture, dishes appliances etc with fabric softener sheets as well they also need to be used inside your toilets with olive oil often at first to make sure they don't jump back onto your skin! It is possible to rid yourself of these demons! I am proof! So is my mom! I had to have her admitted into a physc ward twice in a month because she about lost it cuz no one believed her.. The mites/parasites love yeast/fungus/mold of any kind.. Its called "morgellons" I've done so much research on it, wow, it would blow your mind! Hot baths only make them spread & regenerate 33 times Faster! So take cool baths, & use anti fungal cream powders & pills as high a dose you can get your Dr to give you! It will help! Along with the steroids! Good luck to all & God bless!.praying for a miracle &a cure once & for all so there will be no more guessing games & Dr's throwing patients to & from not knowing what to do with these patients! My former Dr, tried telling me, I had chicken pox for2 years? I wasn't that crazy?bi sought God, & He led me to alot of this discovery along to a Dr that figured out the rest! Be blessed! Hope this helps even just one person

Things that help clean not only your skin bout your home is dryer sheets, the mites get caught in the Web like material & they can't stick to the surface, use on dishes appliances vents, body etc.... Athlete foot powder & cream helps better than anything I tried & Lord knows I tried every thing from herbs to bleach on my skin! And diflucan (used to treat yeast infections) is the only thing that killed the disease on the inside once & for good! But be prepared to treat your body & home vigorously around.same time to keep from coming back in contact of it & being reinfected! Olive oil is great to use in your laundry at end cycle small cap full to rid the mites from your clothing, keep bagged till you get the rest of your home treated! Spray olive or tea tree oil on begging floors around base boards, door frames, window frames etc.. This is worse than bed bugs, they can be treated by exterminators & then done,b go on with life! This here you live in hell just trying to convince ppl that your not crazy! Avoid hot baths, only quick Luke warm showers, quickly dry & exit rest room that's where they live most from mold, its a plant like/ mold/ yeast disease keep positive, don't let this disease defeat you!b its a long tough road, i know this only because I fight it for 3 yrs myself then 3 more with my mom in which she got it twenty times worse than I.. Praying for each one of you in hopes this info might help even one person! Tea.tree oil or olive oil once rid of this will keep your chances from recontracting it, much lower! Hope this helps! The name is"morgellons" God bless!

It really helps to take mucuna pruriens, which naturally replaced depleted dopamine in the brain - lost from exposure to pesticides. U can get 10% permethrin in the feed store, fog ur home with a diluted solution (1 to 2 parts water for a 3.3% that should leave a kill residual for about 2 wks). rat mites andbird mites hatch in about 4 days, but grow for 2 wks b4 they can lay more. They need blood meals to grow and lay eggs. But adults can live without blood for at least 9 mos, and appparently can go dormant for a year. You can purchase the silver fogger online (the liquid can't melt the seals to get into the motor) for about $200 - or rent one from home depot, but you'd probably want to fog at least 4 times. You have to treat yard, vehicle and workplace also. Permethrin lotion (you mix from same permethrin (some barely has any odor) a lot less than is needed for scabies (5%). 2% kills rat and bird mites. I'm not sure what kills what I have now. I was never able to get them out of styrofoam. I had to throw it out and completely seal in my tub (sits on styrofoam). advantage multi kills them off a clean dog -- if given every 2 weeks. Peroxide kills just about everything -- if you can stand the pain of mites biting as they die.

I just read that depleted adrenal glands makes us susceptible to insect bites. Stress depletes them, Fortunately, most people are not susceptible to mites -- so they can help clean without getting painfully bit.

Oh, if you fog, eggs still hatch and bite if you're near. Also, any dust provides asafe place for mites to hide, so you still have to wipe down most stuff with perm (not pictures, pen ink (fades it), plastic pipes or plastic bathtubs (for long) nor spray wet perm into speakers or other electronics (ruins them. dry fog is safe).

Breathing peperment extract helps clear them from the respirtory system.

There is no way to get them out of carpet unless you pull part of it up at a time, sweep/ mop the dirt away, treat with perm and/or borax (a slow kill that doesn't fade), and pad both side, and underside of carpet.
I got rid of rat mites from my moms by blanketing the whole carpet with borax like snow, mopping the walls and fogged permethrin (3.3%) -- then we left it empty for 3 months.

Hope this helps. The yeast on the skin idea makes sense. .

There is a water purifying system that is supposed to wipe out yeast. It uses drops and citric acid powder that you take more of until you build up to 15 drops 3x/day.

don't give up. you can get out of it. I got rid of rat mites after about 1 1/2 years. It took trial and error to find out wgat worked and a whole lot of work. please make sure you get enough sleep and eat well.

oh, soaking clothes in borax and purely green 30-45 min before washing killed rat mites from my clothes, them bagging them in new uncontaminated bags. after i was uncontaminated worked. the mites get on every surface imaginable -- especially the underside of the toilet bowl.
I'm going to research the scents people put off too.

It also helps yo listen to a Christian radio station to keep your encouragemrnt up. If you've never given control of your life to Jesus .for salvation, that's major too, a huge help.
Best to you.

This sounds like what I have. I bought a heater, styrofoam, and wood to build a doghouse. Something in them infested my car, house, and me. I noticed my bare knees were red after working with the wood, but I thought it was a chemical reation. However, they didn't come off in the shower. They bounced around to my back. They love my hair. At times so many of them have bitten my face they turned it all red and closed my eyes (couldn't open them). At other times so many have bitten spots on my skin they left welts. My dermatologist said they are definately mites, but we haven't been able to catch them -- either with a biopsy nor tapes. She said mites embed deeply into the skin, and that I have a mite allergy.
I'm having a terrible time trying to get rid of them. They don't hurt unless a lot bit -- then they burn like my skin is in flames. Peroxide kills them, but they bite as they die, and it's too painful to apply.
