Slight fever every evening

Hi: My wife has nightly fever by starting feeling very cold for 2 days now.  I am investigating the cause.  Do you people drink coffee?  Is coffee possible reason for the problem?  steveL

I get slight fever and weak and stuffy nose every evening for almost 3 years so sick of it get chills and shakie can't do anything till it passes

I Just started this two days ago...started with general body aches, thought I had slept wrong or didnt get enough sleep. Also felt a tightness in my chest, but not ine other symptom. But then in the evening I coughed once... Literally once and some bad tasting phlem came up... And that was it. And then the body aches etc got worse. I took my temp.., low grade fever. Took Advil, went away. But on day three now and after 5 it starts. One thing my daughters pediatrician told me once is that the reason fevers go up in people, and they start feeling worse after 4:00pm or so is because the natural cortisone that our body's produce drops in late afternoon, and then goes back up in the morning. That helps us with pain, and fevers.

I was diagnose with chronic sinusitis and had surgery for this issue. eversince then I always had a slight few symptoms, I wake up with it most of the time its really annoying sometime I have really bad headache right on my forehead...

I was relieved to see y our post. I have had evening fevers for the past month now. My colonoscopy is scheduled for the 13th of december and they are looking into IBS, Colitis, Crohns. My Gi dr didn't seem surprised either when i brought it up, but this is becoming too much. Its like getting a slight flu every night.

Please look into small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) which is often found with IBS. SIBO can cause a multitude of symptoms. It can be detected by a breath test performed by those G-I drs who don't try to attribute everything to stress. Best wishes to you.

How did you identify this problem ? Because my wife is facing the same. Blood test and urine test says no Malaria or Urine infection. Wondering what could be the reason.

A slight fever in the early evening could be a symptom of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is all. I get that sometimes myself and I am hypoglycemic although not drastically so. Ask your doctor to give you a GTT.

I am 69 and have these symptoms from 5pm till I go to bed. They stay with me from 3days to apprx a week. Will disappear for a few months then reappear. It does seem to get worse when I am tired or worn out. Hope you guys find someone or something to help you.

Did you ever find out what was wrong? I'm going thru something similar now and nobody has any clue.
