I started getting those red blotches on my lower legs and have become concerned. After doing some research I have come up with some possible answers. If it is itchy it could be Psoriasis or Eczema.  It looks like I have edema which comes from me doing a lot of standing on my job. Gravity what a pain. I hope this helps.

I have patches of small red spots on both legs starting at my ankles, going up about halfway to my knee.  I've had them for a while, and they're in the exact same spots on both legs.  I've also always had dry skin.  It seems to only appear on areas of the skin on my leg that don't have much soft tissue between the skin and the bone (such as ankle, and going up the front of my leg/shin).  From what i've found online, my case looks like Petechiae (essentially hemmorhaging of the capillaries).  I have sometimes seen a few spots show up on my fingers between my nail and first/nearest knuckle.

If anyone has these specific symptoms and has been diagnosed, i'd love to hear what the cause is.

I've gotten this on a few occasions. Doesn't itch Red purplish blood vessel like bumps. Not raised. Scattered and clustered. No blood problems. Look up Purpura. Kinda looks like that. It goes away. I've found that inactivity and drinking alcohol while dehydrated usually makes it happen. Ive.had it on and off for 3 years now (I'm 26).. I find it happens when my immunity system is down, and I drink before completely well again. Stay hydrated and active. Good circulation. Massage legs and stretch. Hope this helps

hey, i think i have the same thing. I did some research and found out that it might be a harmless disease called capillaritis. It produces tiny little browny red spots around your lower legs and the main cause is because of the leakage of a tiny little blood vessel called a capillary (which is a tenth of the size of the width of a hair, so really small). There is not really many reasos why this happens, but apparently capillaritis can be contracted as a reaction to a medicine, after intense sport, after or while you have a virus, or due to additives in food. Its sometimes also called pigmented purpura. If you would like to know more i suggest looking it up
thanks

Almost everyone commenting of their symptoms likely have capillaritis.
