I agree with some of you - the war on drugs is about politics, not medicine. Most doctors don't even realize that. It's about not being able to admit we are wrong, which is the flip side of the same opinionated c**p the people on this board spout about things they know nothing about. So when prohibition doesn't work, when it makes the whole problem WORSE because it makes the trade more profitable, instead of the control freaks' saying "gee, I was wrong, let's take back that law" they say "SEE! Look how bad those drugs are! Let's pass MORE laws!" And it gets worse again, and the cycle continues. Because people who are so stupid about everything else are brilliant at blaming the consequences of their own actions on others.
So don't be part of the problem. If you don't know, then shut the f**k up. Or at least just say "I don't know." Reading your posts about things you know nothing about is monumentally painful.

In regards to smoking before or after surgery. Smoking ANYTHING causes physiological changes, some clinical trials show bleeding and clotting to be effects which are also proven by the long term outcomes( heart attack and stroke) directly linked to smoking, period. Here is my solution: edibles topical and concentrated forms of marijuana will be your best bet. Please write a letter to your state and local officials requesting they stop preventing you from receiving the healthier alternative you deserve. I moved from florida to california because the stress was enough of a health concern, let alone the options I gave myself.
Find a good cannabis transfer (canna butter 10hour simmer transfer, alchohol transfer, glycerin) or other healthier way to use marijuana.the reason you don't have these things is because someone is stopping you. Now that you know, what will you do? I had to leave everything I ever knew and love behind to make a decision that was healthier for me. My family doesn't understand, poloticians ignore the facts. In my opinion, when it comes down to voting time, if more people decided not to vote than actually voted, I believe noone should be elected. I'de rather have noone to blame, than myself or you. And if I tried to help you by sending you the medication you need, the culture that is supposed to serve and protect will once again remind us that we are just victims, and we are not allowed to create our success. We have no rights, we have no voices, we have no choices..we gave those all up to be free.

There are tons of benefits to smoking it. Insomnia, chronic pain, etc. Why is it illegal. Why don't you research all the people that lose money if it was legalized. Pharmaceutical companies, the oil industry and even our government. Politics play an important role in keeping it illegal.

I very much enjoy smoking weed. I've had two shoulder surgeries due to a hockey injury and the second i got home from the hospital, my buddy and I smoked up (it's tough to hit a bowl when you have a sling on..). I didn't need any of the painkillers that the docs sent me home with. never touched them. The docs said to stay home for a whole week - no school, no work, just chill at home and rest and dont move my right arm. During that week I went through about an ounce, prob a little less. And noting bad happened.
