Hi, I've been a migraine sufferer for years now and have tried a variety of medication but this headache has been quite a strange one. For five days so far i have suffered a headache with nausea but wouldn't go so far as to say as painful as a migraine. I have ruled out all the usual triggers such as caffeine , chocolate, wine, excessive stress levels all of which couldn't be factors in these headaches. I have been taking co-codamol and domperidone, the co-codamol takes the pain away but the domperidone does nothing for the sickness.
Do you have any suggestions as to what could be the cause or suggest any other medication?
Eagerly awaiting a reply before it ends up day six!
Many thanks

I would suggest taking the doctor's advice. I myself have had migraines from time to time and know how painful they can be. Usually the medication for me works. In your case, the strongest drug you could take would be tylenol 3, but you can only get it through your doctor and cannot find it on shelves. It's a very strong pain reliever which helped me. I'm not sure about the nausea, but again, consult your doctor.
Sorry I could not be of more help.

Did you ever find out anything? My teenage daughter is suffering from recurring migraines that then turn into five days of nausea and fatigue. I've been told these might be "abdominal migraines," but given little information. We were recommended to start an anti-depressant for 6 months by a neurologist who said it has to do with the serotonin levels...we aren't sure we want to go that route. We are trying acupuncture first. Anybody else have similar challenges?
