I get them now and again and I am a freak about cleaning my ears! A warm compress and peroxide helped it come to the surface. Once it was popped (my friend is a med tech so she did it) it felt so much better! (and gradually disappeared) I'm getting one now and am trying neosporin. Warm compress to come! Good Luck!

I have one and it is so painful! it has started to block hearing and so I have to keep cleaning the top of it off cause it is blocking a bunch of earwax from falling out of my ear and then I can hear again, it is 4 am and this thing woke me up... I have had these before but not where they can block my hearing. I am going to try using a wet washcloth like one of the suggestions, hope that helps :'(

doctors are useless

not a useless doctorDoctors are useless. The only thing they'll do is give you pain medication. You don't need to see a doctor they just say you need to so that they can make $$$ off of you.

Any plz answer my question cause I am gettin worried. So ( only my left ear) it keeping getting crusty and I like to pick at it ( as addicting as people smoking ciggerettes btw I do not) and it bleed and I know that do not pick at it ( as my parent told me many times). It is puffy too. I keep the earring out at night. I tried vinegar for a day or so but stopped and all it did was it stung my ears. So plz answer my question and even though it might not be anything make plz tell my it nothing or no picking at it and etc. plz reply soon!!! Thx in advance!!!!!!:)

I to have one in my ear right now. When I thouched it it was really sore and so I read up about it and I just got a hot cloth and slow press it I'm my ear and it just went down and mine is going down a lot only been doing it for like a day ad over night it has gone down loads :) hope it helps

I have had reoccuring cystic acne inside my ear for at least two weeks now.  I am a constant picker and therefore, I have caused the infection to spread.  I am fighting what is called a Candida infestation in my body.  This is a bacterial infection that gets worse before it gets better.  The Candida is dieing off and as a result I get a breakout of cystic acne in the most unusal spots (like the inner ear).  The infection has spread in my ear to two cysts in my right ear and one in the left.  This has spread as a result of me constantly putting my fingers in my ear to try and pop the cyst.  DO NOT DO THIS!!!!! Hydrogen Proxide is the answer folks.  If you have trouble tolerating the pain, use some tylenol or a normal painreleiver.  Keep your hands and fingers clean and flush your ears out as often as you can.  Good Luck!

You are exactly right I have one in my right ear canal, it feels exactly like a pimple, I tryed popping and it hurt like hell, but I put hp on it and it feels better

I know this is an old post, but still a current problem with many people, so here's my two cents. Use a paste of baking soda and neosporine to coat the affected area. This will bring it to a head and allow you to pop it without undue pain. Once it has been popped, keep it clean and use straight neosporin, but continue compressions for a few days to completely express the infection. This method usually reduces a multi week, extremely painful experience into just a few days of a minor incumbrence. Good luck :0)

Oh, and no, you don't need to put your fingers in your ear...your ears are cartaledge, so just press the outter area nearest the pimple once it's come to a head and it will pop. Instant relief.

I get these sometimes from wearing my in-ear headphones daily. It's just a pimple-nothing serious. It'll clear up in a few days. All the treatments you can use to clear up acne will work on it too. It hurts, just don't touch it! And DO. NOT. POP. IT. It will hurt soooo much worse and last even longer.

So had one in my ear for 4 days with no psin only if touched. My mom kept bugging to pop it now it hurts. I got it ftom wearong earphones daily I believe.
