The "splinter" I pulled out seems to be something like a hair follicole but it isn't hard anymore and the little bump it was in is almost completely gone after 5 minutes, but you can see the hole.
damn, this is crazy. i have this same issue. i have two blackhead lookin' things that are pretty close together. its located right by my "circumsition line" so maybe some of you are right by saying theres a deeper pore there so it filled with something. im going to assume that i can be detailed by saying that i had to literally spread the skin of my penis to see it in full clarity. i think i even took a magnifying glass to it lol i was very worried about this for a while and im not sure how or when i got this. i am 18 and i resently had an "std scare" so upon frantically inspecting my penis is when i came across this oddity. xd turns out everything is ok on that end.
im still wondering if this is like a type of fungus or something because other posts say that it keeps coming back. alot of ppl on this thread are physically taking them out themselves. does this hurt? lol i think i might try the hydrogen peroxide idea that someone mentioned.
i deffinetly agree that saying its a "normal variation" or something is NOT good enough lol alot of ppl seem to have this issue. does this site have any doctors using it? someone that can actually shed some light on this? i guess a urologist would have no reason to use a site like this but im sick of looking at post after post with no clear cut answer. a doctor in an office setting are prob just gonna tell u the same thing they tell everyone just to get you out of their office.
somebody wanna break the mold here and tell us all whats up? i find this whole thing kinda bizarre and id rather be rid of it for good then have to f**k with it every few years. 8-|

If it has a dimpled center, it could potentially be "Molluscum contagiosum."
Ive resaearch this for a while and this is the only thing i can find on it. I also have had this since i was a little kid so its not an STD hmm someone get a doctor to research this.
I have this same issue, It's been going on since I was around 7 it seems and I'm 19 now. It has never affected me and doesn't hurt but does make me curious, I'm sure it can't be nothing like a STD considering many people are mention young children. I would watch out about unprotected sex after "popping" one of these considering it opens the skin. If anyone finds out what this is please tell.
I know I'm like 4 years to late. Lol. I'm an 18 y/o male. I've always notimoney little black head, tunnel, splinter thingy since a very young age lol. Uhmmm actually I noticed it AFTER I was circumcised. I'd bet my lucky dollar that every single onenofnyou guys are circumcised. As to why the little black hard wax stuff is in there I have no friggin idea. said it seems to be linednupnto wear the foreskin was cutoff duringcircumcision so I'm willing to bet that, myths has something tondo with It. :)
as anyone found what it is? for all the people that posted a few years ago, did u guys find anything out about this? i dont think its a cyst..dosnt look like one...someone plz reply
It is common for men to get penis pimples especially if they sweat a lot and don't wear cotton underwear, from shaving and the skin getting irritated. It can also be an irritation to the laundry detergent.
I also copy and pasting some information for you guys:

hey guys, pretty sure it's a black head but for better analysis, try looking through binoculars backwards, you need to get the small lens very very close to the area and have lots of light, then look through the big lens, try it with your finger first to get an idea of how close you need to be, it's better than any magnifying glass or anything else readily available. You will see what most have posted, a black fungal-looking protrusion with a white-ish root, you can easily remove it by pinching the skin tightly (there will be a small amount of puss) and simply scraping the growth away with your thumbnail, put a little polysporin on it if you wish. I get them every few years and they don't grow back in the same place, just had two at a time, gone now. Not a joke or jab but even if your penis will not reach close enough for you to get your eye close to the big lens with your eye just look through it as close as you can (with one eye) you'll be amazed how close up it gets, I get slivers out of my hands this way. The reason I'm pretty sure it's a blackhead is that I also looked at a pic of a blackhead and it was identical
...and then check again with the binoculars to be sure it's gone, it will heal in a day or so.
I posted the binocular thing and contrary to the above post, I am not circumsized and still get them, it has nothing to with that...
it is not a lymphocele... that wouldn't look like a blackhead, it would be under the skin and considerably larger (or it wouldn't even be noticed as these are tiny... but irritated) and it wouldn't be black or protruding from the skin, it is a blackhead, look at it with a pair of backwards binoculars really close to the area with lots of light, then google "up close picture of blackhead" and you will have a match....
If we are all talking about the same thing and it's sounds as so, it is not a epidermoid cyst either, just look at pics of e-cysts, this looks nothing like that, it's a blackhead....
