Just found one of these on my husband... we've been together 7 years and this is the first time i noticed it. Don't think it's been there long as I would have noticed right away. He bent over backwards trying to see what the heck i was seeing...haha.. then he let me pull it out. then we continued with our business. i was not going to continue after seeing it, so yeah, young guys out there, if you have one of these just get some tweezers and a mirror and get rid of it. took about five seconds.

Haven't read this whole thread so it may have already been answered. Coming from someone that also had this. Think about when you were younger and you did "magic" by rubbing your hands together and seeing that sh*t on your hands. That stuff was just dirt and dead skin. I believe those things we find on our shaft is just dead skin and traces of dirt that get lodged in there from things like masturbation. Just my theory though

Use clear alcohol when you shower massage your genital area and apply blue star ointment once dried off and they will dry up it will reappear but that's how I deal with mine

hurts like a b***h but use thumb nails and pinch the hell outta it...that will push it enough to the surface to scrape or tweeze it out...just did..totally works and the hard feeling of where it was is completely gone...went to a doctor about this once and basically without warning the bastard pinched the f**k outta me and it was gone...doing it yourself gives you more control to take your time

I've had this too.  For the first few years it acted just as noted in other posts, I could pull out a rice shaped object with a black head and waxy tail.  When I went looking for an answer , the best fitting possibility I could find was that it was a suture scar from circumcision...and...just like any other piercing can, it would gather "stuff" in it and then form a head.  Several decades later and now it seems to be forming a harder head and cannot be extracted.  I never worried about it before, but now I can't get the black and hard skinned scab (the size of a head of a pin) to soften (with creams); or loosen, with scrubbing.  This tiny button needs to go, it's disconcerting because it's almost to the point where it could scratch.  Mine is exactly where the ring of suture holes would have been for my circumcision.  If it didn't have the black head....I would think that it turned into a skin tag.  I hope someone comes back with an answer.

Its caused by not using lube during masterbation. You can safly remove it on your own then apply a and d ointment for 5 days and never worry about it agai . Hope this helps everyone

Hey everyone. Same situation here, don't despair, its just a blackhead. Some of you are describing something different, but the "black-headed piece of rice" is just a blackhead. Those of you who have managed to pull one out should find this video very familiar to you.


squeeze it to pop up enough to get a handle on with tweezers, then just work it out.

23 and I have the same thing. Doctor said the same thing, just part of the skin. Kind of weird! Comforting to know I'm not alone.

Had this for about 10-12 years now. Every 6 months or so I pull it out with tweezers. It does not irritate me, I can't even feel it. Would love to know what it is. In my theory it is probably your body pushing out impurities any way it can. I used to be an Arbrorist, and after about 3 months on the job all the saw dust getting into my eyes had collected as a hard almost calcium like deposit underneath the soft skin below my tongue. (Very painful). One day I got fed up painfully squeezed it until it popped through the skin. IT WAS ALMOST LIKE A F***ING TOOTH. The doctor had confirmed it was where my tear duct gland collected its waste, and that was where my body was of storing it. Traumatizing. I would imagine this is similar. There is a bit of friction down there from time to time, maybe its your bodies way working out any collected skin cells from pours, or clothing fibers trapped against your skin in a humid ventilated area. Just my theory, please feel free to add to it.

I have the same thing to I am 13 now but I've had it ever since I can remember I sometimes forget about it because it is kinda hard to notice but I remember it today and dacided to look it up because it was bothering me I always just kinda squeeze it out exactly like everyone is say it's just like a strange splinter and comes out like a small pice of rice with a black end on it I hope someone figures out what it is I'm going to look some more into it I will come back to this page if I find anything

I agree, I've also read some stuff talking about circumcision stich holes that never go away and catch dirt, as an answer. Which makes sense but why wouldn't the holes heal like almost every other place on the body

Chaps - do not let this concern you any more than necessary, its no big deal.  I've had the same thing bugging me for ages and it was getting worse over time as tissue/gunge/whatever built up around it.  Finally I decided enough was enough and I needs to take matters into my own hands (literally).   So I took a few deep breaths, got some heavy duty tools (sewing needle & tweezers) and went to work on it.  I wont lie, it wasn't the most enjoyable hour of my life but it was certainly very satisfying when it came out.  I cant say what it was other than a very large blackhead type spot type thing (general dead skin/dirt).  Anyway my advice to you all is to man-up and take positive action asap!

Yh i had these, kept cutting them out with razors until they got infected, had to have a medical circumcision; followed by complete amputation... DO NOT mess with these they are the bodies' way of protecting the penis from viral infection, prevention of which has serios repercussions.
