Hi there,

I've suffered from acne in the past and am now left with some scars I'd rather not have any more. I recently came across an article that mentioned moisturisers containing squalane are a very good bet for minimizing scar tissue as well as it not causing clogged pores and generally providing a lot of hydration to the skin, which sounds good to me because I actually have fairly dry skin at the minute.

If you've used squalane in a moisturiser please post your real reviews and mention which product you're using if you like. This would really help me.

Thankx

Hi, you don't need to look for a moisturizer WITH squalane, you can use it straight. As I've tried to simplify my skincare and use more natural products I've tried this, which I buy from the Garden of Wisdom, and I can tell you that it's great. You only need a little but despite the fact that squalane is an oil, it does not feel oily or greasy at all. My skin hasn't broken out and looks very nice. I'm happy with it and use it in combination with a hyaluronic acid serum, the perfect combo for well hydrated skin if you ask me.

What? So you guys have found me something new to investigate now, something I'd never heard about before. Googled it right away of course, and apparently it's a derivative of olive oil, this squalane thing, and apparently it's non comedonegenic and very moisturising. Cool. I'm sure Rosie would just put neat olive oil on her face instead, and that makes me wonder what's so superior about squalane anyways, but yeah, cool. I'll Google this some more. Might be good for my dry-ish legs too? If so what brand do you recommend if you could help a girl out?

Squalane is the closest you can get to naturally perfect skin! Even my rosacea stricken skin loves it, reacts positively to it, and it gives me a little glimpse of what I would have looked like if I didn't suffer from rosacea. Yes, that amounts to a positive review for me. Like I said, it is for me the closest thing I can get to naturally perfect skin, and close isn't all the way there, but it is close. Irritated skin makes you feel bad physically and mentally, and when you discover something that really helps you, it can really lift your overall mood.

I suffer from eczema (also on my face, but not only) and squalane is one of the few things that helps clear it up pretty fast. I like it. It is not the only skincare product I use, just when the eczema pops around (works for arms too), but it's certainly a helpful addition. And you know what? You also find it in things like shark oil so you can help your skin along from the inside as well as the outside. For skin squalane comes as creams and oils and I like the oil one better personally.

Hi!

I am using the Pure Squalane Oil for dry skin by IQ Natural, and I am loving it!!! I have tried other more expensive brands too but this one is just as good. Squalane absorbs really well and takes hydration to the next level. It is also great as a makeup remover. Remember you don't need to overdo it. Just a pea sized amount is enough for your entire face, use two of those if you want to use for your neck and cleavage area as well. This bottle is going to last a long time.
