My doctor thought I had strep, but the rapid test came back negative. I guess when he sent in the culture for further evaluation, it tested positive for staph aureus. How contagious is it if it's in my throat? I've read it's spread skin to skin, but if it's in my throat, is it still as contagious? I'm on an antibiotic starting today for it. Also, he said I could still possibly have mono and to come in next week if it doesn't get better. Please tell me all you know about staph, but only if it helps my situation (as most I read about staph says that it's common in boils, and sores and such, which I do not have). Will I have it for life? Can I get it back again? I've been scaring myself online reading about it and I'd like to know how serious it is. Do you believe it will go away quickly?
its one of the common bacterial infection ,
don't worry about it,
just continue your antibiotic regularly that's enough
