From what i know (i say this because im 11) a normal head weighs about 10 pounds or so but when your texting or just looking down at something it causes around 60 Lbs of pressure you should probably watch a video on youtube im sure you'll figure it out there amd that doesnt tell you anything ask a family member tvat works as a nurse, docter, chiropractor which is mostly recommended,or someone around that catagory. I hope this was useful

I think its spinal stenosis. I have had it for at least 5 years. The bones of your spine shrink like with aging. It sounds electrical to me. It also makes me nauseous and head aches

I have had this going on for a few months, as well as other things, such as ringing in my ears, sudden high blood pressure, anxiety, My "widow's hump" has also gotten worse in the last year. Any thoughts on this? I am female and 73

Girl we have to pray about this. I have the same Pop Rocks sound and ringing ears but I worry for you because of the heaviness of your head and nausea. You should go get a brain scan. Like seriously

I too am experiencing these sounds... have just been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, but haven't found anything that correlates with this "cymbal-crackling' sounds that I hear, especially when I'm turning my neck...

I had my chiari decompression 5 yrs ago. And I'm still having the pop rocks, migraines, tingling and numbness in arms and legs. I know decompression wasn't a cure just a treatment. I went to my dr they did more tests. All they said was they didn't see anything "new". But that there is something there. But they never have an answer to what it is.

I have had the same symptoms over the last few months. Not painful, just disconcerting. I notice it most when I walk. My doctor just checked that I could move my neck without problems and said "don't worry about it"!
The comment about it feeling like it's in the neck but 'hearing it ' in the base of the skull is exactly right. I think it tends to happen more later in the day.

I too have this same problem and have for about ten years. In addition, I have debilitating migraines that have worsened the last six months are are affecting my vision now. It feels like something is pressing on my eye. I say mine sounds like sizzling bacon. Neuro always says it is in aura, but I disagree. It is something more.
