You could have Chiari 1 malformation. Brian herniated out of skull into neck, put pressure on spinal cord.

Hi I am 54, diagnosed last week with Chiari 1 malformation. Suffered the last 20 yrs. I have daily neck head shoulder pain, dizziness, blurred vision, dropping things, tripping, speech swallowing issues, jerky eye movements, balance problems, nausea. I also have cervical Spinal Stenosis. Finally...I know what's wrong! It's neurological..brain herniation and spinal cord compression. I also hear gurgling of fluid in my head over the yrs . It freaked me out, usually hear mine at night when laying down.

Thank you! I'm looking into it now. Hopefully I don't have it, but I would rather check into it and be safe than sorry, you know? I have never heard of it. I've always wondered about aneurysms, too. Your information is very helpful!!

I get the snap-crackle-pop from time to time in the same spot... Read up on lymphatic congestion. The techniques to help drain the system always work for me. I was amazed at how much the lymphatic system impacts our whole body!

Im a 21 year old male and it has happened to me on and off throughout the years ( say 3 yrs) i found it only happens during periods when im gaining weight and not eating well. It sounds like pop rocks, or even like air or liquid escaping a tight space. Sometimes i feel nauseous for a short period of time while its happening and sometimes no nausea,
Just the sound and sensation. For me personally, it only happens in the morning or after waking up at any time from sleep. In the winter i eat too much and veg And am usually 180-195 lbs and in the summer im usually 170-180 lbs i dont recall ever having the crackling in the summer. I had a classmatenim college and if u sat near him youd hear a very similar sound, his was very loud you could audibly hear it, mine only i can hear it and its not frequent. The guy was really shy so i never asked him about it, but im positive he had the same thing. He was overweight tho, im average size and stocky a bit in the winter but maybe people who are overweight get it worse maybe. I woke up not long ago and the crackling only happened a few times. Theres usually a 15 second - 1 minute wait between the sounds. And the sounds only last about 5 seconds at a time. I think possibly the sounds happen more often too if i dont eat right in the morning. If i eat and drink i dont think the sounds happen if i recall.

Here's the problem, the mind is a funny thing if one allows themselves to dwell on things the mind gets to finding ways to rationalize this information making it seem very real. This becomes problematic health wise. A chain reaction often leading to major health conditions due to chronic stress which don't kid yourself is as dangerous as almost anything out there. The best way to judge a situation involving your health is this. Resist tempatations of taking to the internet for a self diagnosis, but if curiousity wins think of the symptoms given as something most likely havnt felt IE fatigue this is not like after along day or a bad nights rest this is like you phyically can barely make it to the bathroom from bed and if u can drag yourself back u fall aleep as that was all the energy available. Find ways of getting outside the fear. If you still have a concern by all means go to the doctor, and if he clears you as nothing wrong you put all your faith in that. Understanding that yes at times if you read enough anecdotal stories geared for a content your bound to hear of crazy bad luck events. Symptoms of nausea like you are brought on from spending unhealthy amounts of time convincing the mind of all the things heard it could be. Headaches I bet 9/10X that drinking more water reduces them exponentially as well as cutting out the painkillers which will damage the kidneys, gut and most the liver. Stop worrying about what can't be controlled, start an excercise program, eat healthy and enjoy life again

I have the same symptoms. Of cracking sounds at the top of my skull like rice crispys crackling in milk. Two years ago I banged the back of my head on black ice. I slipped up into the air came crashing down onto the pavement. Since that day I've had migraines and cracking sounds on my head.

Do you think it could be MS? I have very similar problems and I have read and researched but I always come back to MS. I'm waiting to see another specialist to check for MS.

I've been practicing yoga for about three years and in the past year or so, I've begun to experience what you seem to have described. I attribute it to the breaking up of tension. It's like squeezing or wringing a starched cloth. I hope it's something similar for you because this is evidence to me that my practice is helping me grow and develop.

I get this daily, mainly in the morning and just before meals when I'm slightly hungry. I would say 99% of the time it happens immediately after my stomach rumbling. I have been diagnosed with GERD and still take an prescribed acid reflux pill. I really believe it has something to do with the stomach. Strange I know, but I'm without a head and back injury and have a pretty active lifestyle. I don't think it has anything to do with being out of alignment. I actually think it feels relaxing lol.

I've been dealing with this since 2005 best I can recall, my general practitioner has had me on every thing from pain meds, muscle relaxers, anxiety and stress meds, and steroid injections once a month with No relief, I've had migraine headaches develop on top of the feeling of sand/gravel in my neck and heat, feels like a torch at the base of my skull. It's gotten so bad it's affecting my job, relationship, and daily life. I've had x-rays, and MRI of the neck, showing a bulging disc and bone spur at c5. Had a nuclear bone scan and the cat scan machine malfunctioned, had an EEG yesterday, will be having echocardiogram and MRI of the brain this week. I'm going broke searching for answers.
