I have been having symptoms since I was 16 and am now 28, I have seen many different specialists and had many different tests, have never seen a neurologist though. I have what I call attacks every 2-6 months, currently for example I have a painful spasm in my right leg, and spontaneous tapping of my right foot, trouble recallimg words and short term memory/concentration problems. It changes every time but usually there is a combination of pain, cognitive impairment, vision problem and muscular spasm. I recover well in between these attacks but have some residual problems like weakness to my left side, and long term memory loss. I also have regular pain in my skin which is so sensitive my clothes cant touch it. I am completely blind in one eye due to optic neuritis. My Aint died of MS 37 years ago at age 35. All doctirs take one look at my big file and dismiss me as a hypochondriac and tell me to see a psychologist. I dont know what to do, anyone else faced such predjudice? Im struggling with work and looking after my son, I need help Im at the end of my wits!! Gemma
