Dear Scott: Do you believe that it is Reasonable for people to conclude that the presence of dry mouth will lead to their teeth falling out? Outside of a physician informing of that; I do not believe so. I would also like to add one thing....Have you ever thought that there may be a hidden agenda from our government?

I will join you! I believe our government is behind this one

YEAH BUT IF ONE HAS EVIDENCE THAT THE TOOTH DECAY WAS BROUGHT ON BY THE SUBLINGUAL TABLETS/STRIPS WHICH I CAN IN MY INSTANCE THE HARM IS CAUSED BY THE SUBOXONE DISSOLVE IN THE MOUTH. I DONT KNOW MANY WHO LET OTHER OPIOIDS DISSOLVE IN THE MOUTH. DRY MOUTH AS A SIDE EFFECT ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH TO CAUSE MAJOR TOOTH DECAY. MOST WOULD SAY COOL AID MAKES YOUR MOUTH DRY.. DOES THAT IN ITSELF ELIMINATE ANYONE'S CLAIM WHO DRINKS COOL AID TO TAKE THEIR OPIOIDS?

I've been on subutex for many years now & I've never had a broken bone in my life & I broke my tybia & Fybia doing absolutely nothing, I've had to get like 4 teeth pulled so far & my blood work shows vitamin December deficiency. I'm wanting a lawsuit.

I agree there isn't a lawsuit but I KNOW it is the sublingual buprenorphine causing the bone deterioration & teeth problems. I just can't prove it

I can tell you this, I am a big guy and however I have not ever in my life been diabetic. I have other medical issues and they have checked my blood sugar and it has ALWAYS BEEN in the low 100's. I am now a diabetic with a A1C of 8.6% as well as i have broken 2 teeth. I also have been finding out that I may possibly have liver problem's. My doctor just started having tests last week and I AM NOT Hepatitis C positive I have never shot up any drug ever in my life I have only snorted when I use to use.

THANK heavens for place because I'm in a similar boat & totally empathise with anyone going through it......

To try to cut a long story short I got off Class A's etc in 2004 with the aid of rehab and one of the first things I noticed was nigh on all of us residents there complaining of toothache. So after 6 months there I 'faced my fear' by going to the dentist several times and got most of my gnashers sorted/taken out.

I remained abstinent for a good couple of years however then relapsed on codeine tabs on/off until I started taking buphrenorphine/subutex which I've been stable on (20mg) for about 4 years.

Had my 1st route canal today and my teeth have NEVER felt so terrible! They are crumbling away it seems which DID NOT start until I started taking these awful things...... My bones also feel wrecked or seem to have got much older too fast!!! At the end of the day if you keep tablets under your tongue until they absorb etc it's can't be great for the teeth surely!? And what about the fillers besides the active ingredients? Don't really get a dry mouth either so why do people always come up with that line whenever someone (like most here) complains about this drug ruining their teeth/bones?? That's a different matter again as far as I'm concerned......

This stuff also causes major anxiety with some (like me) and therefore grinding of the teeth! ON TOP of the damage the substance does! Heck I've always likened this to an opiatey amphetamine feeling tbh. If it's wrecking our teeth what the he'll is it doing to the rest of our 'system' eh?? I've looked after my teeth since 2004 and I just know that it's the subbies ruining what's left of them (get that gut feeling).... THANKS ALL & BEST WISHES

Excuse spellings etc, but noticed somebody mentioned they had an x-ray of the front teeth (bottom row) which showed they are wrecked or whatever... Now that would make sense ffs! Mine look stained & I dread to think what will happen to them...

And ftr I know subutex & suboxone are different however that buprenorphine is deadly... Sure it's buggered up my back..... Cheers all/Good Luck

Thats me dude. Methadone did the real damahe back in the nineties just bc ive been on subs for the last five years dosnt mean i can point my flucking finger at reckitt and coleman and say YOU DID THIS TO ME. I was a junkie for gods sake. I did every opiate known to man. And btw the people praising the lord for giving them dreams of their teeth falling out are quite laughable. That was your subconcious hunny, not capitol G god. Ever hear of Freud re****s?
