Hi. Long story short, painkiller addict 4 years, methadone 2 years, dropping 10 mg a week for 3 weeks from 90-60. Went to treatment dropping from 60-30 in 2 weeks with no wed at all. Then switched from methadone to suboxine with only 1 night of wds . Is this normal? I have only been on subs 13 weeks. Already reduced 50% of my dose, do u think my jump will be ok?

Try to get down to under 1mg of sub before jumping off. I'm on day 19, and I'm still having symptoms.
Until you off completely, you probably won't feel too bad.
I found that coming off subs isn't as bad as all the stories I've heard. It's been tolerable.

I feel this exact same way. I was on Suboxone for 4 years. I had to take short term from work and go to q detox to get off, I'm now on my 25th day without, tired and misrable.

I got down to .125mg and then jumped off. I'm on day 6, no detox. None. Actually, I was expecting diarrhea. I know it's gross, but it's part of detox. When I got off the subs, my chronic diarrhea went away. I did lose all my upper teeth and many lower due to subs, but that's another story. It can be done with no detox. I'm also a fan of Lyrica. Lyrica is a saving grace when it comes to detoxing.

Going through it now, hope you were able to get off them, I have taken subs for about a year now and used percs and OxyContin for the last 6 before that recreationally and Though I’ve never been dope sick or withdrawles from percs due to getting on subs when I decided I had enough of that life, this withdrawal is next to death I was on 8mg a full strip a day and didn’t taper down because I’m an all or nothing guy, I made the jump at 4mg and I’m here to say I’m on day 8 and the symptoms are subsiding finally got a good nights sleep nothing compared to a sub sleep induced coma but 5-6 hours is plenty for me, my energy levels are at an all time low, the pain in my legs is subsiding still feel like I weigh 800 lbs And the muscle tension at night until the melatonin kicks in and the hot rocks in my stomach still linger until I eat something also my emotions are all over the place I feel like a high school girl lol. I promised myself and my wife and children that I will never go down this path again. It feels amazing to be non dependent on taking something every day. You too can get your freedom back it just takes a little time is all. Hope that there is more than 10% of success stories I’ve lost a lot of friends due to heroin and opiates over the years and I didn’t want to be another statistic. Hope to see everyone here struggling make ends meet and make it out of this. One thing I know is I am grateful to be alive. You should too.

For people who are actually completely off suboxone it can take months to even years. I can elaborate for those that have jumped off of 8mg for 8 years and what you may expect to feel like. Exercise is key.
